- Officials from several universities are slated to testify Thursday on the impact of the pro-Palestinian protests that have roiled college campuses in the last couple of months.
Leadership from Northwestern University, Rutgers University and the University of California, Los Angeles will speak before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce to answer for a perceived rise of antisemitism on campuses as student protestors have pushed back on the Biden administration's response to the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza and the subsequent humanitarian crisis.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. EDT.

All of this in the service of a foreign country. DISGUSTING.
This has absolutely nothing to do with any other country. It has to do with students in the U.S.
@@Theworldisupsidedown-ou8vhIt is 100 percent about a foreign country. It's easy to see the power Zionist and Israel Government have over America and other countries supporting them.
@@Theworldisupsidedown-ou8vh Look at the username, it's just an autogenerated account used to sow confusion and hatred.
@@raven35 uuuuuummmmm yyeeaaahhh no. I’m a real person who live in Chicago concerned about my privacy. I literally just ran my hand randomly around the keyboard. Cope harder.
@@Theworldisupsidedown-ou8vh Sure.
To defend Gaza, to defend Palestine, to defend peace is NOT anti-semetic, it's anti war.
Listen how she talks bought and paid for.
How ? She speaks the truth..
She is just talking no evidence.
What is this lady talking about. She needs to stop.
I don't think they should lock up the protest they need to let everybody speak their minds so we can see how many people that are not going to vote for Biden
Here we go now it's about capitalism that's what I thought. Pocket lining politicians to business and business to politicians.
She's getting paid
😂😂
All students
Where was this energy for black people when we were killed in this country .
Facts, when the US was oppressors, they acted just like Israel. Israel is cut from the same cloth as the USA.
Seriously
I failed in 2020. I hope it doesn’t happen again. But it will. And I’ll be out there. I’m sorry I let you guys down.
USA and Israel save the world from ☪️ancer...
End Hindutva
Something isn't right with these politicians
This is a shameful hearing it's a joke
What a lot of rubbish, gas lighting, the students are never antisemitic anti Jewish what a lot of disgusting lies so frustrating listening to them
AIPAC at work
FREE HUMANITY FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸
He's calling Americans trouble makers for having a heart. Shameful guy.
They were troublemakers for disrupting the lives of other students and for not following rules for protesting. Hamas wants this to happen, they knew it would cost the lives of thousand# of Palestinians, but they are just collateral damage.
These colleges are a waste of money
That's nothing but lies.
Finally it seems there has been a shift on these hearings. University Presidents are in a tough position and kudos to those who work through differences through discussion, not oppression and suppression of free speech.
Nothing but air
Anti-Semit? No, it's Anti-Zionist.
Anti Zionism is nothing more than attempt, or an excuse, to separate Antisemitism from the equation. It's the same...
Just another way to justify hating Jews ..
I don't hear enough on how Sunday laws in Germany, Austria, and other parts of the world, descriminate against religious that keep the original Sabbath day. Neither side should be imposing their day of rest.
Students are the puppets, go after te puppet masters.
What is this racist guy saying
I watched but it was a waste of time SMH. What was accomplished?.
What is she saying
The students
Got the point. The Bottom Line, if we want you to keep the doors open. Who holds the key? Please advise at your very earliest convenience. I need to know when to lower my eye and bow. Sister, We are the same age. Give me a break. We know what time it is. Don’t we?
Listen to how he spoke about the people. He speaks like they're not human beings.
Thank you miss Stevenson
Here we go
When are just one of these University Presidents going to show the courage to simply tell the House that, "We uphold the Constitutional rights of Free Speech, Freedom to Assemble, Freedom to Redress the government."
Any institution that receives Federal funding are bound to respect the Constitution and the Rights therein.
Pay attention people!
As long as they don't break the law ... Both the law of the constitution to "peacefully " assemble and to honor the rules of the colleges that are there to keep the ability of all students to learn freely,
@@thefreese1 Yep. And the students have been abiding thus far. I don't see that changing anytime soon. On the other side, students have been assaulted by police and counter protesters. Police made no arrests of counter protesters. That's America for you.
@@slipdishman8443 really? Impeding traffic ? There's more to the right to "peacefully protest" than just not breaking windows or tearing up buildings or beating people up..
Hist something like impeding traffic is : keeping people from whatever destination they are heading... they don't know if there's someone with a health condition in any of those cars. They might be headed to a Drs appointment . And miss it and nowadays it's sets you back 2 months to reschedule. This could be important if the person has heart problems or cancer because they are time dependent on treatment..
Besides the fact that the people driving have that right to travel.... and that's stomping on their rights..
There's plenty of protests where they stand on the sidewalks or designated areas and hold signs and protest their grievances without be confrontational to people that have nothing to do with the people protesting on either side.
And that's just one non violent act of breaking the law. Others on other campuses are defacing property, seizing buildings, and have even held people against their will, wearing Hezbollah, Hamas, and ISIS, (insert anything else to intimidate Jews) and yelling Death to American and every genocidal slogan or chant used by these groups as ways to incite violence...The usual culprits starting it of course. ANTIFA and such .
Deliberately trying to spark something like they did in Charlottesville.
Here's what caused the rising mental health issues: BEING STUCK AT HOME FOR HOURS DURING COVID.
Y'all see paid check stop lying
This lady is a joke What is she saying.
What is this guy asking
Need more. like. this. LADY. I've NEVER UNSTOOD HATRED for others. Why are our tax dollars going to these schools.? This should STOP
It isn't hatred for others its Jews and non Jews alike standing up against genocide, apartheid, war crimes.
Thank you, Mr Takano. Important that you support peace and agree in discussions, not police force in order to keep all students safe.
Stefanik just wants escalation, finger pointing, and a witch hunt. She comes across as very biased and very rude by interrupting unnecessarily.
Obviously you're not a Jewish student or a Jewish professor.. or you'd think differently..
@@thefreese1 I am a professor but not Jewish or Muslim.
@@thefreese1 tell me how students were unsafe. I strongly support peaceful protest and right to free speech even when it might make myself or others uncomfortable. The UCLA protests were peaceful but it was the pro-Israel counterprotestors who were acting violently. They were not UCLA students - one was from Beverly Hills, a high school student who should be fully prosecuted for his violence. UCI had encampments and some faculty were removed even when peacefully protesting alongside students. Discussions over violence - why would you support brutal force from police when another better options exists?
Key word: Funding. 😉
That doesn't add up what he's saying
We have a lot of educated derelicts, but not much common sense thinkers
It is common sense not to believe the lies being spun when we can see what is going on on the ground.
@@schmemmm That's called pure stupidity, when truth is ignored
