Hi, love your video. The throne room after you enter the house is usually found in Japanese noble house. The noble will sit behind the partition and speak to their subordinates (or peasants/non noble). Only when the visitor has equal / higher ranking or been trusted, they are allowed to see the noble in person.
This is *stunning*. I cannot even imagine the amount of work that went into it. I might want a bit more in terms of wall decoration? But gosh, that hot spring area, and the views from the master bedroom, it’s so gorgeous. I even like the misty weather, it seems entirely fitting for that kind of environment. It’s definitely not traditional Skyrim fare, and I feel like it’d be kind of jarring switching back and forth. But it’s so pretty tho. We need mod authors like this teaching classes on how they do it, the world needs more pretty things!
Oh, just wow! I would soon get lost though, map making time so I can get around with ease! I love the beautiful attention to detail everywhere!! You’re right, I do think the appropriate word for this place is gentle, their gentle approach to make every room different yet still the same atmosphere!! I think it’s pretty cool to have ghost guards! Thank you Feb for such a great showcase!! Have a beautiful Skyrim type of day!!
This is a masterpiece, to be sure. However, it must be a labor of love of things Japanese because for Skyrim, it would be a very niche house mod for the amount of work required to make it...and it really isn't Skyrim. Still, I can't get over how well this has been made. Total kudos to the author!
This is a VERY creative and unique looking home. I agree with another commenter's sentiment that it does not really belong in the province of Skyrim though. But hey if any mod authors tackle full on Akavir maps!
Hi Feb!! This is a very nice Japanese home. And just big enough for me to get lost in. I think the author did wonders in decorating. The lighting, walls, and window shades are really nice! BTW, I think the training area would be called a "Dojo". My only issue with it is that it seems kinda 'higgle de piggle de'. Just my opinion, not a knock on the designer. I absolutely love the Japanese homes, but in Skyrim? I don't know. Lots of love, hun. Hope you had a great weekend!
Edo-period house. The person who made this knows Japanese culture. Hope to have one (smaller :)) on Hokkaido one day; hop, skip, and a jump from the RFE. Definitely adding this mod to Nolvus. Sure, it’s not terribly lore friendly, but with all the ubiquitous magic, kind of splitting hairs, no? New gaming rig is up and running 😳. Haven’t installed Nolvus yet; it’s so big, they say to expect it to take most of a day. Soon. Great vid, TY, hope you are well.
the top tower chamber would usually be the lord's bed room... atleast it is in european castles, the don jon tower.....the king's chambers or duke... or count (of monte christo) or whatever owned a castle.
Will add it to complete my bundle of akavirian player homes ( Akaviri home near Ivarstead , Jakusou Sansou near Whiterun broken watchtower , Shiramichi Manor near Northwatch Keep )
@@FebrithDarkstar It is a so long time that i didn't follow the mainquest to the point where i have to travel to Skyhaven with or without Delphine and Esbern through the forsworn ...
I hang with Kaiden, and he’s supposed to be Akiviri, so I could take him and we could ditch the kids and go to our “Mountain House” for a weekend away to skinny dip!
Very well done, it captures the Japanese aesthetic and minimalist style of the Imperial era. It's a bit out of place in Skyrim though, too clean and too new to be a representation of Akaviri influence, and it is missing the Akaviri architectural elements found in places like Sky Haven Temple. Not my cup of tea for the game time setting and place and the culture of the Nords at present, but again an excellent job by the author.
While i relly like traditional japanese culture and architecture, i dont like it ingame in Skyrim, it just doesnt belong, especially not that massive. Tho i must admit, that it has been built very well and i appreciate the effort. Thx Feb, as always. btw: you need to get some b-slaps for stomping into the houses and on those Tatami mats especially, with your street boots on, thats a BIG NONO in japanese/Akaviri culture. 😊
Okay the 12 year old in me is just laughing at the name, like why make such a lovely crafted manor then name it after the family's jewels.....or golden balls in this case.
@@FebrithDarkstar Happy to share the curse knowledge, like I'm they were just going for "golden spirit/cat" and just hit on that unfortunate combination now but yeah.
I am torn with this one Feb. The interiors are lovely and I LOVE the unique statics and some of the wall textures. Those white beds are like little clouds and look so comfortable. There's so much creativity in the design of individual rooms that it made the follower's quarters stand out as unnecessarily under-furnished. It's not like there's not enough space. I wish mod authors would do individual rooms for followers instead of throwing a bunch of beds into a room and calling it a day. There is also just too much space. Sometimes less is more. This place could easily have been about half the size and it would have been more impressive. The stark white exterior walls looked weird to me. I didn't care for the textures on the stone. Walls were clipping into the rocks at some point. In terms of just the color scheme of the exteriors, the entire building looks out of place in the Reach. It's an odd thing because Sky Haven Temple fits right in and it too is Akaviri architecture. Something about the exterior looks a bit too cartoonish to fit into that kind of rugged landscape. There are some great ideas here but they haven't quite congealed into something more deliberate and cohesive.
There doesnt seem to be a proper navmesh for outside. The guards are just standing in one spot, not patrolling the premises.. That leads me to think the inside isnt either, so this mod is a no for me until there is.. I need proper navmesh for the entire mod, I cant have 10 followers living in a space just standing in a spot until bedtime..
Well, from the point of creativity and effort that has been put into this, it is gorgious. Unfortunately it doesn't fit into Skyrim at all. It feels like being "transferred" from Ghost of Tsushima or something similar.
Maybe a smaller version near the ruined Sky Temple would have made a bit more sense. Maybe with the return of the Blades they could've rebuilt a smaller Akaviri home for the player.

You've got a wonderful storytelling voice.
Thanks so much!:)
Wow. What a work of passion by the author. The sparseness is very on point and compliments the whole aesthetic. What a gorgeous work of art.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Not my style, would get lost in it, but indeed gorgeous. Those hot springs ! Kudos to the creator(s), really.
We agree!
" Indoor-outdoor..." It made me think of Hyacinth and her indoor-outdoor luxury buffet for C.P. Benedict!
It is pronounced "Búckee."😁
:XD
"It's free,at the cost of her life." lol i almost choked on my salad😂😂😂
Hehe :D
Confucious Says statue. Perfect. Civilization at last. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I need Samurai armor mod and Hakami clothes mod for this.
:D
@@FebrithDarkstar Too bad there were no mannequins. Samurai armors or Blade armor on mannequins would bring out even more Akaviri flavor. 🫡🫡

Its not for skyrim, yes, but it is Akaviri, found on Akavir so it does fit the lore.

Just wanna point out that "Kintama" in japanese directly translates to "Golden Balls" 😂
