I have walked along the Riverwalk in San Antonio and along the canals of Amsterdam Holland, and they are both beautiful! The water and the bridges, the waves and reflections bring awe and light to play on the buildings and make the city much more open and beautiful. I'm all for it.
Id like to see 787 go underground and, in that space, build a 3-phase depiction of old Albany to bring in tourist. Much like old Sacramento, old Salem, Plymouth, Mystic seaport and other places have done. Could start with Fort Orange 1600's early settlement, then move on to old Dutch Albany late 1600;s to 1700;s and then the steamboat era of the late 1800's to early 1900's with steamboats docked for restaurants. no room here for the plan details, but that's the general idea.
I live here, looks awesome. Great way to remind us of our Dutch heritage especially at such a historic location at the SUNY building.
It would really be great if Albany took some notes from the Dutch in terms of city planning
Those paintings are amazing!

Great ideas. Nicely presented. Let's do it!
Thanks Charley, Albany needs a boost and a better connection with its maritime past. Maybe this is it.
Albany is in desperate need of revitalization. A canal would be perfect. Great video!!
Awesome!

Yeah put it in and have the lazy ass city workers and local gov neglect it, then it turns to crap like everything in the damn City
That worries me too!! If we leave it alone I think it will only get worse.
