These You Tube clips of Sister Miriam, Sister Bethany, Sister Clare - a little different genre, perspective and approach contextualized in her early death , and other monastic professions of young nuns, are powerful and inspiring. One can feel deeply the reality of the presence of Christ taking over their lives and thereby conveying and helping all seekers absorb Christ into our consciousness, our being, our souls. Their professions of a real and dynamic faith imbedded in the love of Christ is far more real than the heretofore traditional orthodoxy disseminated by the Church. BUT, given the obvious corruption that has permeated the Roman Church, made manifest by Vigano and other truth tellers, these young nuns, now getting older, and their superiors may be wise to confront the issues and facts of deep seated corruption head on, front and center, with direct and faith based clarity. They deal with real life issues in their current lectures, particularly Miriam given her “story” as she puts it. But I don’t think it is a “story” at all. That term conveys too much distance. It is life. It is what Christ sermonized on The Mount on how to deal with Life. It is plain that these nuns have awakened to an interior life radiating the reality of the real Christ demonstrated in the Sermon on the Mount. Not the Christ gradually undermined, eroded, and scandalized with the corrupt behaviors of the Roman Church hierarchy. Christ said to “resist not evil” so it may well be that the “love and personal forgiveness” approach of these nuns who do deal with the realities of life in our society characterized by violence, abortion, and unspeakable corruption and evils, is the best approach at least for the digital media. On a personal level, they deal all the time with unwanted pregnancies - God Bless them in confronting and turning women away from abortion, perhaps the greatest evil of our time. They have my love and gratitude and admiration for their love, commitment and work. But what to do about the Roman Church??? The Church does not conform or represent the “truths” that these nuns live. God Bless them all.
