I didn't hear the fan at all, so keep it on. And even if it would have made a noise I would still say that keeping it on is fine. Keeping ypurself cool and hydrated is very important when it's hot.
Do keep your fan on! It is not too loud in the video and I'm just happy if it helps you! Please take care of yourself and keep hydrated in the heat!

For Devon to be able to "parent" Abbie, she'll have to "Adopt as Caregiver", I think it's either on the initial social menu or in the Friendly social menu.
I'm over 50 & still have a night light, it helps to see my way around the bedroom or bathroom in the middle of the night. When you have pets, it's a necessity to prevent stepping on them. Nothing for Abbie to be ashamed of.

I've been watching you forever ever since the first sims 3 generations I've been watching and everyday my grandmother would tell me to get off the computer and stop watching you but I watched and watched until it was over (I actually cried) and when I saw you're making a new "generation" type thing I was about to get all nostalgic and cry. My grandmother isn't with me anymore but if she was I know damn well she'd be yelling at me to stop watching you. Thanks for making me happier and getting all nostalgic oops I'm crying ❤️:)

Frozen generations on Sims three was the very first video I saw of you and my favorite one yet I'm so glad you brought this back
19:34-19:37 Like Jack and Elsa in Sims 3 Generation. They couldn't ever keep their hands off of each other. Abbie and Iris are so adorable and it's so adorable that Abbie is looking after her baby sister.
Definitely keep the fan on - couldn't hear it and completely sympathise with how insanely hot it's been in the last week.
And seeing Ice play with Iris and hug her melted my heart

Im not going to lie, I havent been keeping up with this channel sadly - but the first LP I ever watched was Generations and I used to refresh your channel waiting for the next episode to come out! Tips for beating the heat
1 use a damp not wet washcloth and dab on exposed skin or leave on the back of your neck
2 drink plenty of fluids
3 USE FANS
4 Wet your hair and put it in a ponytail/bun
5 sit on ice packs or use the ice packs that are for your back
6 IF you are not talking you can suck on an ice cube like a mint.
I live in TX and this has helped me when the A/C can not keep up with the heat.

Watching your first lool and Parenthood inspired me to read reviews to see if I wanted it. I'm a big family player so Parenthood is an amazing pack! My problem right now is I'm inspired to play my sims right now but I'm in a different state!

It's funny how it's so hot here in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia and in your city (Manchester, I believe?), London, places so far from each other, where usually a bit different weather... so to say. We have some hot days or even weeks in summer (june mostly), but not for such a long time and not so hot every day.
(I don't think it's about global warming though, because we had cold autumn, cold winter, cold spring... otherwise I wouldn't find it "funny" or even unusual or something like this)

I love this LP so far. Also for Teen Parties you can throw a party at a Lot with the Teen Hangout Lot Trait. That's how I get around not having the teen party that was available in the Sims3. I will have to watch your Sims3 Generations LP. I did not watch it since you said the save file got corrupted and the LP would not continue. I think continuing it it the Sims 4 was a Fantastic Idea. :)

Also, to do kids sleep overs use the club system in the Sims 4. You can do a teen party by using the Teen hangout lot trait and Using the club system to allow 7 sims per club you have activated. Sleep is under Home Activities. Hope this helps :)
PS Just finished binge watching S1 and S2 of Sims 3 Generations. Are you going to make a version of Rags even though Imaginary friends do not exist in the Sims 4?

Just rewatched your generations s2 lp. Are you still going to have Iris become a rebellious/goth teen? Are you going to add in Rags but as a human child? What about Ice & Devon's second baby that you wanted to be a boy?

Why don't you have a air conditioner? You should keep an air conditioner on in your computer room even when you don't have a heat wave, it'll extend your computers life and make it function better because it'll keep it cool. You can just switch it off when you record and it'll still be cool in the room for hours if you keep the door closed and turn it back on when your done.
