Oh wow! ♡ You're far too kind to me, dear! ♡ I'm so happy my videos are so soothing and encouraging for you ^///^ ♡♡♡ It means so much! +Bound for glory
+My Mangaka LIFE you give the most greatest advices ever and thank you for the beautiful art that you show us. i hope one day that your manga will be an anime😁🎨✒✏👍
Thanks for mentioning the bad opinions. I got told by another artist on UA-cam my copic artworks sucked and I should just stop using copics. But I kept going cause I had fun using copics. Now I had some more practice with copics I am pretty happy with how those pieces turned out. This video really helped me a lot with the fact I seriously need to have more confedence in what I create.
Oh wow, I'm so honored that I've been able to help you in any way ♡ Building confidence can take time, but always keep in mind that art is something you enjoy doing and even if you feel like you need to improve, remember we ALL do ♡ Even if you don't really like your style, remember that MOST OF US don't like our styles at first! :D It all takes time ♡ So just have fun, practice, and have fun some more ♡ +Kendrocity MC
I like to draw because it's fun and because i'm doing what I love. I don't care if I get 1 like or a million, as long as my art satisfies me, that's fine, and it's also fine for others to share that satisfication with me.
Thank you! I finally feel like I have confidence in my art. I am practicing everyday. And if I look at my art from 1 year ago, I can see a very big difference. So I'm going to hold that attitude and do my best to become better. Thanks!
I legit almost cried listening to your advice. I'm an artist preparing to go to college to learn animation. I love manga, and want to make my own stories. I love the characters I've created as if they were my own children (haha XD) ...But.... I hate my art style. I love the soft looking anime styles... mine is so edgy, and messy lineart. I've grown certainly. In the past 5 years I've gone from drawing snakes for arms to good proportions and basic anatomy.I've gone from paper and a scanner, to a ditigal tablet and art program... but I still hate(d) my style of artwork. Your words have really made me look at my art in a new light, and I realized I was being too hard on myself. Thank you Mangaka. You've really helped me. :)
Honestly your words always make me feel motivated and I always come back to this video whenever I feel frustrated or discouraged about my art. It always help, thank you
It takes tike and practice, dear ;__; But you can do it! ♡ I hope you will follow my tips abs really give yourself time to rediscover your art and rebuild confidence in yourself and your creations ♡ +HardcoreGamer 64
Thank you soooooo much!! I'm so glad there's someone like you here! You have no idea how much your videos or YOU yourself have helped me !! 💕💕 I've always been scared to draw because of my self confidence, and every time I do I get frustrated. I'm always comparing myself to other artists and wanting to draw their style, but I always remind myself that it won't do me any good. So, anyways, THANK YOU SO SO SOOOO MUCH!! You're my inspiration! 💕😁
This video really helped me to have a change of mind in my art. To be more patient and to be more comfortable/confident of how my art looks like 😁. Thank you! soooo much for this video I really needed it
I'm so happy my video was able to help you change your perspective a bit ♡ Developing your style and learning to create art is a journey; one that can be frustrating at times, but it doesn't have to be. It's like if someone wanted to lose weight: thinking "I hate my body. I want to be thin" will make the diet so hard and even hurt their self-esteem, BUT if they think "I love my myself and want to be healthy, so I'm going to take care of myself" will make the process a great experience ♡ It's all about patience, love, and a change of perspective ♡ +this is johnny
Thank you! I was needing this, I love you (I finally got your manga and was able to read it- my opinion of you has multiplied by 10, (didn't think that was possible) Thanks for the inspiration once again
I love creating characters, I like coming up with world's and stories and I love using my imagination. A lot of movies, artiest, anime and videogames have inspired me
Thank yuu for making this video!! Back then I was so disappointed in my art and wanted to improve a lot faster. I put myself down and started to get really frustrated but because of your video I've gotten better and have more confidence in myself and my art skills.
Gosh! Your an amazing and inspiring person to hear advice from a manga artist. I was just looking for art advice on UA-cam when suddenly I stumbled to your video. When watching, your words were like gold, so I wrote them in a piece of paper for the future when I need guidance and confidence. Thank you so much! I'm going to graduate high school very soon and really needed this. Thank you and also I love your art.
It's wonderful people lie YOU that inspire me to work harder and make more videos to help you guys! ♡ I'm so happy my video touched you and I truly believe that you'll reach your artistic goals ♡ Confidence takes time and sometimes we need to fake it to make it: just draw and not let yourself think of anything negative! Just focus on some music wheel you draw and just get lost in the fun of the experience! ♡ I hope the advice in my video will be super useful for you ♡ Also, I hope my other videos will be able to help you on your artistic journey too! :D ♡ +Alexis Morales
wow, number one really stuck with me, I've always been self conscious about my art and why I do it. sometimes I forget why, but this video really helped me, thank you so much!!!
I'm 13 and I have an idea for a manga I wanna put out in a few years, I have my characters and my story. But I'm scared to post my characters online because people steal and I'm really scared to post them places. Did you post your characters online? And we're you afraid to post them also? Should I post them? Plz answer back! Thanks!
If u r worried about art theft, u could try making a personalized signature that you put on each page or u can use a digital drawing program to create ur signature as a watermark so ppl can't steal ur art
You need to watermark your art and copyright your work. Be site to watch my video on copyrighting and ask an adult to watch along and help you ♡+Love and lucky
Did you draw the pp? It's nice. :D Watermark your art and don't be scared! Critics from other people will definitely improve your art! Keep practising and you'll be good!
Your artwork😍 u inspire me every time I hear your advice!I'm ready to get over my fears of my art not being good enough for other people,I realise it should be good for me first before others can enjoy it! I gain more confidence on my art every time u make a video!! Btw,I've read every chapter on your website and had to nagg my mom for a whole week for her to get some from Amazon!😊 I really love your artistic point of u and hope to one day be as wise as u (artistic wise) thank u for helping us as subscribers realise our talents!! 😀😁😊😍😚💚💛💖👍
Gosh, I haven't seen your vids in forever! >ㅁ< Mainly because I didn't want to get too inspired. I've injured both of my wrists and haven't been able to draw for almost four months now!!! It's torture!!! How am I supposed to do all of my projects? It sucks lol
***** Awww! Right back at you! Yes, after 7 months now, they are finally much better! Not completely healed but much, much better. And if I could give you any advice from what I've learned during these 7 months, it's to TAKE IT SLOW. I tend to overwork myself anyway but when you're injured that is the worst thing to do. Even if your leg is feeling really good you should still take care of it. I hope your healing goes smoothly!!!
I just want to say, your channel have help me so much through the bumpy ride of making manga. My manga, weirdworld, has gone through many different stages any thanks to you, I have made my own style perfect. If it was not for this channel, weirdworld would have never been were it is now if it was not for you. So thank you so much
I have little confidence in my art because I don't won't to become overconfident cause I feel like if I get overconfident I will start thinking my art is good then it ends up getting bashed with hate and criticism from other people then I get depressed and stop drawing how can I fix this?
Being confident and being pompous are very different things, dear. This video is for people who black confidence and feel like they'll never improve and for people who feel discouraged. +darnell vlogs
What you're describing (getting based and getting your feelings hurt) isn't something that one can just "fix". It will take a great deal of effort and practice to gain the confidence needed to get past any cruel comments people throw your way. I talk more about this in the video you and I are chatting under ♡ +My Mangaka LIFE
what I like a lot and for Improvement is joining one of the many critique groups on dA. people there tell you what they like about your art and where they think you can improve when it comes to anatomy or composition...even if you can't use all the tips it's still a great way to find out what you'Re good at and where you still can improve. Analysing art of other people and give them a constructive critique is also great for learning.
Critiques are a wonderful way to improve and learning to be open to opposing opinions are good for the ego (prevents getting a big head lol) and also helps you correct mistakes you may have overlooked (like when you're writing and need someone to proofread it) Feedback is always great, and hopefully my video will help some shy ppl be more open to it :)
I've been getting better at not comparing my work to others'. I haven't completely stopped, but I've been learning to accept that I'm still learning and that it isn't fair to compare myself with someone who's had years of experience. I think my need for comparison stems from my family/culture. My relatives are always comparing each others' kids on EVERYTHING and it brings me down so much especially since I'm in college and they're always talking about how my cousin is studying to be a doctor, or a nurse, or an engineer, or how another is making a lot of money and I'm just studying not knowing what career I want while knowing full well what I want to do (art) but knowing that I won't be at a financially stable level by the time I graduate college. I think that's where my impatience comes in. My family is really traditional and they believe life goes through the typical pattern of study -> college -> job -> marriage -> family and any failure is judged. I'm mostly talking about my gossiping aunties more than my immediate family, but I live with them so I'm constantly exposed to it. I know that they just want the best for me and the best is a good, stable income, but their expectations has had a very negative impact on my mindset and has greatly contributed to my negativity. But back to the video. Great video! I just looked at my sketchbook and realized I spent the last two months filling 1/4 of it on studies and practice. That's 33 sheets front and back! I downloaded instagram, but I haven't been getting around to actually posting anything. Maybe this month. This month is camp nanowrimo and I'm using it as a time to write the plot to my story before I turn it into a webcomic. I'm excited since I have a friend doing it with me this time so we can keep each other in check c: And thank you to everyone who has read this far. I just really needed to get this off my chest.
I'm very proud of you for working hard and understanding that you're still a developing artist :3 There's nothing wrong with that and should only get you excited about the artist you will become as you get older and practice more! :D I know exactly how you feel because my culture is pretty similar. That's partially why I am certified as a teacher so that my family wouldn't worry about me and they could feel comfort in knowing I could have a stable income in a school (as well as prevent anyone from gossiping about me LOL) It can be really tough and I can totally understand how one's family's judgment can be very troubling and really mess with your self-esteem :( I think I've always been very hard-headed and once I get my mind set on a goal I simply can't stop XD I keep working nonstop until I get what I set my sights on :3 I think passion plays a large role in that, as well as celebrating every little victory :) It can be a VERY difficult road, but it doesn't mean you can't reach your goals. My family had doubts and worries about my unorthodox career goals, but now they know my work is in stores and I travel doing what I love (and have some of the MOST amazing and supportive readers ever!!) I feel like my family is accepting of what I do and are proud of me for having the courage to follow my heart AND study hard and have a high GPA. I feel like you shouldn't do ANYTHING to please others, but it's always a good idea to get a degree in something so that you can earn a stable income while you are reaching for your dreams :D A lot of celebs were waitresses and bellboys before they became famous, but personally, I'd rather earn a degree to get a job to fund my art (rather than working 2 low income jobs). One day I plan on using my certification to teach art because I LOOOOVE to teach (if you haven't noticed by all of my tutorials LOL) I'm so happy and proud of you!! I can't wait to see what you've created so please tag me and use my sketchbook hash tag #LizbethSketchBookChallenge so I can see it! :D Please have fun working on your story's plot and OMG I hope I was able to help you even a little bit. I know how you feel but please know it WILL get better! Just have fun, and work hard! Some people need to use gossip and judgment of others as fuel to push themselves forward; thinking every step of the way "I'LL PROVE THEM ALL WRONG!!" but I prefer keeping things positive and doing the best i can do for MYSELF! :D I hope you'll keep it positive and do what you can to make your future bright and fulfilling! So good luck and God bless! :3
I would so enroll in your classes when you do become an art teacher ^-^ Thank you for sharing your experiences and expertise! This is the only UA-cam channel I actually post comments on
Very single time I watch your video it makes me feel good and inspiring, give me courage very time I feel down, and finally thanks you so much for all of that❤️
“Why do you do art? Is it because you want attention or because you actually love creating?” As someone whose entire life & soul is dedicated to Art & bringing significance out of blank paper, that was enough to give me a wake-up call.
I absolutely love your art! Sometimes I will just sit there and watch your videos on Instagram over and over cause I find them so mesmerizing. I've never really been able to pick a favourite artist. But when I found your channel, and art I was blown away. I just love your style, and just watching you ink is amazing. Al so thank you for this video, because I honestly haven't been doing a lot of drawing lately but this really inspired me to pick up my sketchbook again.
Oh my GOODNESS!! 💖💖💖 THANK YOU so much for enjoying them that much!! I'm honored!! And I'm touched that I was able to help you in any way! I hope that this video will help you get back into the swing of things! Just put on some music, relax, and doodle :3 Just enjoy the process of creating! :D
Maybe you could make a video on character development. Like how you go about developing the characters, personality, back story and such. I also want to make a manga, but I always have trouble developing characters. it would really help me out if you could make a video about this topic. Thanks for listening. I really love your videos.
Hi there, about the first tip you gave us... I'm not sure wheather I enjoy art as much as I should. I love to get compliments from my art becuase I'm mostly proud of what I create but does that mean I'm doing it just to get attention from others??? I don't even know myself. recently I have been getting frustrated with my art due to an art block and this really makes me question wheather I really do enjoy doing art. I don't know! I'm so confused! I hope someone can help
If you're proud of your art, that's great! Getting complements is great too, and everyone loves it, but it shouldn't really be the main focus. The best way to get rid of art block, or at least make it not as bad, is to just sit down and try to draw something. It doesn't matter what it is, just get started so you don't want to stop. The more you draw and the more time passes, your art will grow on you and you'll come to love it more. Now, I love art much more than I did like a year or two ago. If you enjoy the process of making your art, then honestly that's all that matters.
But too much confidence can be pretty bad too. I've met alot of people who are overly confident about their art, so since they think they are so good, they never try improving.
Being cocky/arrogant and having confidence in your art are veeery different things. I emphasize being humble and understanding that one can always improve :) P.S. Rap Monster is LIFE!! ❤️🎶〰 (your icon looks like Rap Monster from BTS XD)
I'm super shy about my art and I get scared to draw on my own (I usually do eye-to-hand type of drawing) and watching this, hearing you talk about how WE as artists are like actors. I felt a sense of pride when you said "We". When you said how correcting our style and practicing to get better was like finishing a boss battle in a video game, (This is going to sound so stupid but I'm a stupid person) I sort of started to cry. Not hard, just got a few tears. It was because I had been looking at everything so wrong. I tortured myself with art, ALWAYS comparing my art to others. I would throw my art away if it didn't look like the other artist's. I felt so happy to hear everything you said and I'm so thankful for this video. This made me super happy ^.^
💖 Oh my goodness, I swear reading your comment made tears well up in my eyes!! 💖 I'm so happy and just so TOUCHED by your comment and so happy that my words and advice cold reach your heart ^////^ "We" are a community of artists and we're all on the same path and understand each other's struggles. Sometimes we ARE too hard on ourselves, but once you change your way of thinking and just allow yourself to just be an artist and just create art...everything works out :) Listen to music, get lost in the moment and create! :D Just practice and don't get upset that you're not getting it right away. I used to draw the saaaame face over and over again for DAYS just to figure out why it was so hard for me. I just refused to give up! And then one day...it was so easy to draw, and I looked back at those pages filled with failures and thought "why was this so hard before?" Practice truly makes perfect, and persistence get $hit done! LOL You'll get there one day too! You'll look back at this moment in your life as an artist and feel pride in how far you've come 💖
I definitely needed this video. Lately I have been feeling discouraged about my art and the manga I'm working on. I feel like I'm never improving sometimes... but luckily this video gave me some inspiration. You're amazing and so inspiring Lisbeth 💚💜❤
Oh my goodness, bless you, sweetie 💖 I know it can be hard sometimes, but you need to focus on what you've accomplished and look forward to where you're headed as an artist! :D Just keep working at it and over time you'll reach your artistic goals :3
Super like!!! I have been struggling with this since I graduated college in 2011. At first I thought it was art block but I did some research and realized it was my confidence. plus maybe a little burnout/no set schedule and project deadlines. I am always inspired after watching your videos and I try to take your advice to heart but it hasn't been sticking. I have a mug with a cat giving a double bird saying "I do what I want!" I try to incorporate that but I am always left wanting. I am a perfectionist so I expect more of myself than I should. I would love a career in art but am stuck. I know I need to work on my portfolio but I also want to enjoy art like I used to before college. College taught me invaluable skills but I think it sacked the life out of me. I will continue to watch your videos and hope one day I can be happy with my art! Thanks so much for making videos and making me laugh. You are a true inspiration and I hope you rub off on me a little :3
I suggest that you make a video about how to get your art noticed. Since many people on sites like Deviantart don't always get noticed with their art and its pretty hard in my opinion to get alot of people to look at your art and notice how hard you worked on it. I love your artwork and your advice! (I wish there was a button to instantly like all of your videos xD)
Getting noticed isn't exactly a science, and site like DeviantART aren't exactly the best platform. It takes years of hard work to get people to notice your art. I have shared what I did to get started with many people, and eek eeeeveryone says "wow...that's a lot of work..." Not everyone is willing or able tog do what I've done. "Getting noticed" means nothing. It a everything else you do that counts. +SusovianNation
I actually drew a picture of my art with a quote saying "don't compare your at to others, just beat yourself" it been a year so I need to redraw it and see if I improve
OMG things like social media can destroy someone's confidence :( it's not a healthy environment for artists... Most people naturally compare themselves to their peers and things like social media now brings ratings in the form of "likes" and "followers". It can really mess with you, but in the end those numbers don't matter. In the real world my work sells out in stores, and I have readers all across the world, MEANWHILE LOL on Instagram I was getting 7 or 12 likes! 😂😂😂 those numbers are not an accurate reflection of what your art is worth. Only YOU can determine that, and if you can make just one person happy and inspired with your work you've conributed something beautiful to the world♡ Social media should only be treated as a business tool to get people to learn about your work. It should NOT be treated as a place to determine whether you're good enough. Good luck, dear! I hope to see you in the comments again!♡ +zetayoru
So happy that I found this art channel! I adore your art, I love your gentle way of explaining things, and you always inspire a nine year old to draw! (The nine year old I'm talking about is me) thank you so much for making this art channel! (I'm also subscribed to your channel)
btw after last watching your videos, i slowly started working on writing my own manga, i think i also improved my anime manga drawing skills some. i am still practicing antatomy to improve. you are def right, drawing for the sake of being famous is not what im doing it for. i draw cause i enjoy art and i love anime and manga. though alot have told me my drawing is sugoi kawaii. that also inspires me to keep drawing as well as my aunt who loves that im drawing and encourages me to keep going.
@@MyMangakaLIFE id love to share some practice drawing with you. Even if I only end up being an illustration artist I'm happy drawing anime and manga. Would you be willing to see some practice drawing I've done?
Hi!I have to say thank you for encouraging me to improve my art.I might rush on videos to markcrilley, yet markcrilley is just too general, yet when I leap here,OMDG,you just killed my procrastinated attitude and encourage my art skills.I know some people color better than me and had clear details like you,and mostly some even told me my art is like shit.Yet,I just ignored them and encourage myself to work on it!Now,I will try to sketch my characters created and also,I should focus on my studies, too! Thanks for encouraging people like me.Godspeed!
Thanks a lot. This really helped. I love art, it makes me happy and keeps me calm but a lot of times I feel like it's just horrible and that I'll never improve ~
I'm just wondering if you have the information could you possibly due a video on how to find/hire a mangaka ? You see I'm more of a writing person, (drawing just isn't my thing personally) and I would love to get my stories out but despite how I write my writing is so-so, my ideas are great and fine just the actual writing I sometimes have trouble with. I've been wanting to collab/hire someone to draw my stories but I'm not sure how to go about this. Like what do I say? What do I have to prepare before or during when I meet with them? Do I have to have my story completed before showing it to said managaka? I know information will very from mangaka to mangaka but I was wondering if you or if anyone you knew had some general guidelines to go about this. More in particular on how to even approach a Mangaka with an idea. Love your channel, I may not draw but I still feel inspired when I see your vids! Can't wait till the next one!
im committing my self to watch all your vids. you are bae and you really help me a lot, i want to let you know that. the way you draw hair just mesmerises me and encourages me to draw better and focus more on the little details
Oh this is really things I should have in mind about my art, have been feeling really unconfident in my art after I came back from a 2 month art block. This really was a helpful video, thank you hahah! Your voice is really adorable too :3
My main reason for practicing my art and experimenting with style is because I don't feel my art style represents me and my views of the world. My style, by nature, has a very anime/manga-like appearance, but it feels generic and too "bubbly" for me personally. I like darker things and have a very morbid side that's masked by a sarcastic and bubbly attitude. But my art only shows the bubbly. I've always wanted to have a style that can have both a bubbly appearance and a darker tone if I put it in. So I'm trying to take elements from some darker styles I like (like Tim Burton) and morphing them so they're in my style, but don't look blatantly compied. That's one thing most young artists fail to realize. You don't "find" a style. You develop it by taking elements from other styles and morphing them so they have a reminiscent appearance, but is still comfortable for you to draw. You can mix the big sketchy Tim Burton eyes and the Mickey Mouse hands and other elements, but if you don't tweak them it looks like a menagerie of completely different things and doesn't work. Always work on making your style cohesive, yet consistent. That is key.
I LOVE how positive you are (and the music in the back doesn't hurt either) Youre lik Goku only female. watching your videos really revs me up and gets me into the spirit. all smileyey and all Thank you
You're one of my favorite youtubers and you've made an awesome video. Confidence as an artist has always been a problem for me, but I'm learning to control it more. Thank you for making this video and continue making your manga.
OH MY GOODNESS, REALLY?!! 💖 That's so sweet!! Thank you so much! ; U ; Don't worry! Confidence takes time and is something most will need to build and strengthen over time :D I know you'll continue to work on it and pretty soon you'll be able to look back and feel pride knowing that you came so far ;D
You are such an inspiration. =) My drawing is about the only thing I have confidence in, but even still I don't always. People tell me they really like it, but I'm sure you know how it is to be overly critical of yourself. You are really nice, and I wish I knew you more. =) Thank you for your videos.
This helped! I don't know if you've ever done this, but a video about learning how to sell your art on Etsy (or whatever sight) or at a convention would be cool. Learning how to price and being confident in it? Love your videos!
Your ink is ruining your art?😵 What you're describing sounds like you're applying far too much ink to your pen 😢 Please watch my video on using dipping pens to learn more about how to properly apply ink and care for your dipping pens so that you'll have a great time using them!☺
hey thanks for making this video. its true confidence is one of the biggest problems for drawing and honestly I have low confidence in my artistic style so this really does help. also after u mention what you were using to ink ur drawing I can't decide to use nip pens or sakura inking pen
Don't worry! You'll be able to get to a point where you feel more confidence :) It just takes time and consistency to get there. And YAAAY!! 💖 So happy I inspired you to try quill pens!! :D "nibs" are just another term used to refer to "quills" which are the removable pen points of a quill pen :) Every pen nib has their own feel, creates line differently than each other, some are more rigid, others have more bounce, some draw hair thin lines while others draw suuuper thick lines! It all comes down to what you enjoy and what feel good to you, SO I recommend you invest about $5-$10 on a Speedball Drawing Pen set which comes with 2 pen holders and a number of different quills for you to try! :D I found my quill pen soul mate in this set LOL 💖
just wanted you to know that i still watch your videos every time you post videos. And every time my friends ask me who did you learn to draw like this, i always tell them that i learned it from you! Just wanted you too know that ♡
Tysm for this video! I always have lack of confidence in my art work cause I compare my work and my sisters work also she says I need to be older and way better to be artist . BUT YOU HELPED!:P
I'm so happy I was able to help you! ♡♡♡ It means so much to me ♡ Gaining confidence tales time but you'll get to a point where you won't need to compare yourself anymore ♡ +Darcelle Burford
LOL Why thank you, dear! 💖 You're sooo sweet!!! ((HUGSSS))) I did want to say that in the year I've been on UA-cam I've only missed an upload 2 times ^__^ Every other time I've uploaded a video each week (and sometimes 2 videos in 1 week! :D ) becuase I want to be as consistent with my uploads as possible ^ o ^ Either way, so happy you're enjoying my videos and are looking forward to watching more from me! 💖
Lizbeth can u Tell me what markers u use to colour(Brand of the markers). I mean I have drown lot of manga pics but I can't seem to colour them,I really need ur help!! 😵😵
Hello, your advices are always great. I'm still a beginner at drawing and have seen myself improve but, I'm still not good at the techniques and I don't have my own style... I know trough time I'll get there, is just I'm curious to know if is not rude, where can someone learn any skill of drawing(including manga) in America? Or a university might help.
So glad you enjoyed my video ♡ And to anseer your question regarding art schoola etc. I'm completely self taught and learned everything I know on my own. And as a certified art teacher, I can honestly say school won't teach you how to be a "better artist". It is up to the student to utilize and sharpen their own skills through self study and their own drive. You won't be able to make the most out of art university until you teach yourself anatomy, perspective, proportion, etc. because in college, no one will hold your hand and instruct you on what to do to become a better artist; they will simply tell you what the project is, tell you "work on your anatomy", and wait for you to hand in your work. I feel bad that so many people believe that art school is the answer to their prayers in terms of learning what they need to be a pro, when in reality...you either teach yourself through practicing and books or you just don't do well in art school ^__^;; +shaky cruz
Your advise always help me. When I am in a rut I always look up your videos. when I was younger I always hated my art and didn't like it. I never got an bad comments and I always had a fan base. As I got better and started to draw more things I lost my fan base and I hardly get a comment or a fave but to me that;s nothing. As long as I knew I did good work and I put all my heart an soul into the drawing the amount of faves in nothing OwO I love my art an I love being an artist and that will never change.
I am SOOOO proud of you for being so strong and loving your art no matter what! And don't worry, because even thought you feel you've lost your older supporters, your newer more developed art will attract new supporters who will love your art just as it is 💖 Not to mention, your hardcore supporters who will stand by you no matter what! So keep being yourself and have fun!
While the messages in this are good, and accurate, the saccharine delivery makes it hard to swallow when you're actually in depression. Great, you never made any of our mistakes and you lived your life always peachy and perfect (*giggle*). I get the reason people present things the way they do on youtube and I truly do have happiness for you and your success. But this note is for anyone out there hating their art so bad you want to just disappear, or are in the depths of despair. Don't believe someone who says they've never struggled. Everyone struggles. Make efforts to be healthy in whatever small way you can manage. Snowballing positive thoughts actually does happen, so try not to fear it'll never end. Just make whatever small effort you can make on a normal day, and resist judging it while you're doing it. These are the small things I've learned but I'm still deep in the well with everyone else. Good luck out there
EXCUSE ME?! Don't assume my life was easy! I worked HARD to create a good life for myself and be successful in this field! I was diagnosed with OCD as a child which caused years of anxiety and depression, but I got through it!! Don't assume that I'm not being genuine in my video... And honestly, if someone hates their art so bad they "want to disappear", they aren't actually depressed about their art; There's and underlying problem that needs to be addressed.
I know you might not see this but oh well Thank you for making these motivational videos. They really helped me after these past few months when I kept comparing myself to others and I wouldn't draw things different then my friends. I hope you know you have inspired me to draw more than his summer break. Thank you! :)
I'm so happy I could help you, dear ♡♡♡ I really am honored ((hugsss)) I hope you'll have a lot of fun drawing this summer break! :D I'll be practicing and trying new things this summer, so we'll both be doing our best ♡ I'll be cheering you on ♡ +Samiraaa //
I loved it when you were telling us not to judge our work based on the amount of attention it got on social media
yeah, I liked that tip too :)
Faith Duarte i wish id known that sooner
Is it just me, or whenever you finish watching her videos, you want to draw?
LOL XD OMG I feel so happy reading this comment! It makes me smile like crazy 💖
I know i feel the same
Me to
Yes!!!! She's so encouraging!!
OMG yes
Your videos are pretty much therapy sessions for me. You're just so sweet, encouraging, and your voice is so relaxing
Oh wow! ♡ You're far too kind to me, dear! ♡ I'm so happy my videos are so soothing and encouraging for you ^///^ ♡♡♡ It means so much!
+Bound for glory
+My Mangaka LIFE you give the most greatest advices ever and thank you for the beautiful art that you show us. i hope one day that your manga will be an anime😁🎨✒✏👍
couldn't agree more!
KawaiiKoren why did you delete your videos?
*mesmerized by inking*
This video made me feel better about the way I draw. Also, your voice is so pretty!
:D It all takes time ♡ So just have fun, practice, and have fun some more ♡
+Kendrocity MC
I'm literally crying watching this because I've been having such a frustrating art day and this is just so supportive, so thanks so much.
the truth is, that whenever i watch videos from talented artists like you, a wave of creativity hits me and no matter the time, i want to draw
I really really love that picture of the girl playing the violin. It's so smooth and elegant. Great job! It's beautiful.
Thank you this made me feel a lot more confident about my art
I thought your drawing was epic😃
Honestly your words always make me feel motivated and I always come back to this video whenever I feel frustrated or discouraged about my art. It always help, thank you
I have extreme anxiety and depression and I always think Im not good enough.... I still have no confidence...
It takes tike and practice, dear ;__; But you can do it! ♡ I hope you will follow my tips abs really give yourself time to rediscover your art and rebuild confidence in yourself and your creations ♡
+HardcoreGamer 64
Thank you soooooo much!! I'm so glad there's someone like you here! You have no idea how much your videos or YOU yourself have helped me !! 💕💕
I've always been scared to draw because of my self confidence, and every time I do I get frustrated. I'm always comparing myself to other artists and wanting to draw their style, but I always remind myself that it won't do me any good. So, anyways, THANK YOU SO SO SOOOO MUCH!! You're my inspiration! 💕😁
*_THIS HELPED ME_*
*_LITERALLY LIFE CHANGING_*
Thank you! I was needing this, I love you (I finally got your manga and was able to read it- my opinion of you has multiplied by 10, (didn't think that was possible) Thanks for the inspiration once again
could you do a sketchbook tour one day
I love creating characters, I like coming up with world's and stories and I love using my imagination.
:D ♡ +Alexis Morales
wow, number one really stuck with me, I've always been self conscious about my art and why I do it. sometimes I forget why, but this video really helped me, thank you so much!!!
oh wow thank you for the tips as always your vids are amazing and helpful, thank you for giving us helpful tips it helped me very well :)
If you ever post your art, I really want to see it. I love seeing peoples art.
Did you draw the pp? It's nice. :D Watermark your art and don't be scared! Critics from other people will definitely improve your art! Keep practising and you'll be good!
Same but im 16 now
Oh my god, your pencils are a kind of magic! Good advice btw.
Aaaaaaand subscribed! :D
I always come back to this video when I'm feeling down about my art. It helps me a lot, Thank you !!! ❤️
Your artwork😍
u inspire me every time I hear your advice!I'm ready to get over my fears of my art not being good enough for other people,I realise it should be good for me first before others can enjoy it!
I gain more confidence on my art every time u make a video!!
Btw,I've read every chapter on your website and had to nagg my mom for a whole week for her to get some from Amazon!😊
I really love your artistic point of u and hope to one day be as wise as u (artistic wise)
thank u for helping us as subscribers realise our talents!!
😀😁😊😍😚💚💛💖👍
Gosh, I haven't seen your vids in forever! >ㅁ< Mainly because I didn't want to get too inspired. I've injured both of my wrists and haven't been able to draw for almost four months now!!! It's torture!!! How am I supposed to do all of my projects? It sucks lol
hang in there!
How can u be too inspired?
***** Awww thank you! I just saw this!! This makes me so happy!
mayfirerose I am! Thank you!!
I talk more about this in the video you and I are chatting under ♡
+My Mangaka LIFE
My Mangaka LIFE thanks for the advice I am going to keep getting better so I can become the most successful manga artist of all time lol
You should get a anime for sacred
what I like a lot and for Improvement is joining one of the many critique groups on dA.
people there tell you what they like about your art and where they think you can improve when it comes to anatomy or composition...even if you can't use all the tips it's still a great way to find out what you'Re good at and where you still can improve.
I'm excited since I have a friend doing it with me this time so we can keep each other in check c:
And thank you to everyone who has read this far. I just really needed to get this off my chest.
I'm very proud of you for working hard and understanding that you're still a developing artist :3 There's nothing wrong with that and should only get you excited about the artist you will become as you get older and practice more! :D
I know exactly how you feel because my culture is pretty similar.
One day I plan on using my certification to teach art because I LOOOOVE to teach (if you haven't noticed by all of my tutorials LOL)
I'm so happy and proud of you!!
Is it because you want attention or because you actually love creating?”
As someone whose entire life & soul is dedicated to Art & bringing significance out of blank paper, that was enough to give me a wake-up call.
This is such a wholesomene and lovely video definitely needed to hear this at the moment because of the creative block I’ve been feeling
Aaaw💕💕💕 That means so much to me!! I'm so humbled that my video could help you in any way! I hope to see you in the comments again💕
you motivated me to much😊😊
thank you for your tips on being confident😊😊
I love your videos.Your videos inspire me alot.
OMG I'm so grateful you feel that way!! ^///^ It means so much!
+My Mangaka LIFE wow...you replied me 😍😍😍😍
thank you so much
Same here XD
+My Mangaka LIFE you are just AMAZING!!!!!
OMG Of course I did! :D I always try my best to try to you guys ^////^ 💖
My Mangaka LIFE It is Rap Monster lol :P , and thanks for responding!
You'll look back at this moment in your life as an artist and feel pride in how far you've come 💖
My Mangaka LIFE Thank you so much! This really makes me happy!
I wish you could come to the UK.. but I love you so much!
Your words have really inspired me and I will try and get more confident about my art
You are a true inspiration and I hope you rub off on me a little :3
Thanks I'm going to practice now
I suggest that you make a video about how to get your art noticed.
I never thaught about it that way, Thank you!
I actually drew a picture of my art with a quote saying "don't compare your at to others, just beat yourself" it been a year so I need to redraw it and see if I improve
oooh that sounds great! :D
THANK YOU SENPIE!!! your videos always fill me with joy and inspiration!!
AAAW SWEETIE!! 💖 I CAN'T EVEN THANK YOU ENOUGH!! You're soooo sweet!! ((hugsss))
Thanks you so much for this!
Seriously, I needed that. Especially when you mentioned Instagram, because that was exactly why my confidence dropped to an all-time low.
I hope to see you in the comments again!♡

My Mangaka LIFE
I understand. Thank you so much. 😊
So happy that I found this art channel! I adore your art, I love your gentle way of explaining things, and you always inspire a nine year old to draw! (The nine year old I'm talking about is me) thank you so much for making this art channel! (I'm also subscribed to your channel)
Can you please do a video on how to keep the eyes and hair looking the same from different angles
btw after last watching your videos, i slowly started working on writing my own manga, i think i also improved my anime manga drawing skills some. i am still practicing antatomy to improve. you are def right, drawing for the sake of being famous is not what im doing it for. i draw cause i enjoy art and i love anime and manga. though alot have told me my drawing is sugoi kawaii. that also inspires me to keep drawing as well as my aunt who loves that im drawing and encourages me to keep going.
I’m sooo happy you have a healthy attitude when it comes to loving your art and what drives you 😊💖💖💖
@@MyMangakaLIFE id love to share some practice drawing with you.
I listen to your videos while I sketch and wow you helped me with my sketch and how it looks!! Thank you for my motivation!!
Oh my goodness, I'm so honored!! 💖 That's so touching!! ; U ;
I'm really a big fan of her when it comes to backgrounds so i would love it if some give me advice for backgrounds since i suck at it
Oh this is really things I should have in mind about my art, have been feeling really unconfident in my art after I came back from a 2 month art block.
I like to create a manga series when I'm older. Because I want to deliver a message and make people smile when doing something I love. :)
I think that's just wonderful! Work hard and have fun! 💖
+My Mangaka LIFE thankyou! :)
Could you do a tutorial on how to draw folds in clothes
I need help with drawing clothes and hair on characters that i draw can u make a video on that
I LOVE how positive you are (and the music in the back doesn't hurt either) Youre lik Goku only female. watching your videos really revs me up and gets me into the spirit. all smileyey and all Thank you
OMG 💖 Thank you so much!! ^///^ OMG LIKE GOKU?! LMAO I freaking LOVE that!! XD 💖 So thrilled I can encourage you like that!! THANK YOU!!
Sometimes...well most of the times because she's my first out of the 8 art UA-camrs I LOVE
You are such an inspiration. =) My drawing is about the only thing I have confidence in, but even still I don't always. People tell me they really like it, but I'm sure you know how it is to be overly critical of yourself. You are really nice, and I wish I knew you more. =) Thank you for your videos.
This was very encouraging I will keep in mind. I believe that's why I'm having a creative block
I hope this video will be able to help you, dear! 💖 So happy you enjoy it!
This helped! I don't know if you've ever done this, but a video about learning how to sell your art on Etsy (or whatever sight) or at a convention would be cool. Learning how to price and being confident in it?
Love your videos!
Oh yes! This is something I want to talk about when I begin my self-publishing series and artist alley series :) Those will be coming very soon! 💖
So amazing, I would like to know how you can ink so well without the ink spilling or accidentally moving your pen the wrong way.
Your ink is ruining your art?😵 What you're describing sounds like you're applying far too much ink to your pen 😢 Please watch my video on using dipping pens to learn more about how to properly apply ink and care for your dipping pens so that you'll have a great time using them!☺
Thanks for giving me the will to find my confidence in my art ^^ I love all your videos and thank you for also being apart of my inspiration!
OMG i'm so honored to have been able to help you in any way possibles 💖 I can't tell you how happy I am right now! Thank you so much!
hey thanks for making this video. its true confidence is one of the biggest problems for drawing and honestly I have low confidence in my artistic style so this really does help. also after u mention what you were using to ink ur drawing I can't decide to use nip pens or sakura inking pen
I just ordered vol. 1 of Sacred! Can't wait to get it :)
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

Not sure if you meant to sound so rude or not, but you completely came across that way to me...
I know you might not see this but oh well
Thank you for making these motivational videos.
