Parsons is a genius. Best technology. Best materials. Best shipping. And now best pricing by leaps and bounds. PXG should be absolutely dominating the market in a few yrs if they stick with what they are doing.
Could use a better logo though
Best technology lol
I just picked up a 0211 3W via the Heroes program for $159. I didnt realize there is a PXG store nearby or I would have had a fitting for it and purchased in store.
"Best shipping" $60 shipping is a joke. I know this because I just purchased a set of 0211 Irons. Price is too good to really complain about shipping, but the fact that the cost of shipping is almost the cost of 1 more club is stupid.
@@chrismasi4345 I bought from them with the Heroes discount as well. I try to support businesses that give back when I can. Super happy with my driver from them.
Picked up the old driver for £129 a couple weeks back and it is fantastic for me. Really happy with the look feel and sound when you hit it well.
Pxg drivers are great clubs had a bad fade got fitted for o311xf nine degree lofted up to 10.5 to shut face gained at least 15 yards hitting it straight
PXG is just going to hoover up the sub premium equipment market. The 0211 range appeals to two sets of golfers, those who want to buy new but don't want to spend Taylormade/Titleist money and they will lure people who usually look to the second hand market too. The Gen4 and prior generation 0211 are being sold at a deep discount currently, but I bet the stock levels are pretty low and won't pose a problem for them. I'm definitely going to get myself fitted in-store for a new 0211.
Great video i bought a PXG driver at the hight of covid and didn't use it at the beginning as we were of mats, I even taped it up to protect the sole. Honestly I was unhappy with it at first because of the sound even going back to my rocketbalz. I use it now and the sound is not an issue love the look and tge sound no longer bothers me
IMHO people were turned off because of the original pricing. Now that pricing has become competitive golfers are realizing that these clubs are good and I mean really good. The 0811 XF is one of the best drivers I've played in years. I also play a 6 hybrid. Most golfers buying off the rack aren't going to be adjusting their clubs for the most part anyway. Bob knows what he's doing for sure.
PXG prices got me hooked.. I use to be TaylorMade used stuff (below average golfer) but since I seen the 0211 range I’ve picked up new putters and irons for £75-99.. custom made too as I need 1” short, ace move by parsons.
Very much leaning towards rebuilding the long end of my bag with the 0211. Already ordered the last model driver on the clearance sale, which allowed for a nice shaft upgrade (something I have never really considered before because $$$) and still at half the price of anything else new. Still happy with the short end of my set, but who knows, with those prices....may be a nice Christmas gift to myself.
I’ve played PXG 0211’s since April and love playing with them. I’m index 20, and playing more consistently, particularly with the woods.Quality is excellent and if you can pick up last year’s driver at current prices it’s a no brainer.
I went all PXG except for putter and SW, love the forged irons!
Tried last years driver bought on eBay for 90 quid on course today and it was neck and neck with my tsi. I had to dial down loft tho from 10.5 to 9. It was so good my mate has nicked it for a shot
Andy, was talking to a PXG rep today at a Fitting he had this Driver and it was a huge success in the fitting, Price in UK £199
I just (literally in the last few minutes) bought that driver on Amazon for $119 in the US. Can't wait for it to arrive!
Brilliant from PXG - their pricing model is respectful of the economic crisis and makes quality golf clubs available for golfers at all budgets. You really cannot argue with that.
I just picked up the 0211 7 wood for &89 US dollars with tax free shipping total was $94 to my door 😁👍
I think Parsons is a genius...what he does with his discounting is two things....he gets you into the brand...like I did in 0211 then you become a believer then you trade up to premium because you like the brand.....
Then the second thing is he never ends up with any stock on the shelves with his discounting programs it's a great con...just as gen 4 is the old model he starts cutting prices....by the time it gets down to the same price as a cobra or Taylor made you think of it as a bargain and buy in....
Even selling a driver at £129 I bet he's still making 40 quid per club....and if you look they always sell out....not stock left no waste.... genius
I love the club's ...the performance the fitting experience....I now tend to buy one gen back so I'm just looking at going from gen 3 to 4....or I might wait 6 months for 5 to drop....but I'm committed can't see me buying any other irons in the near future
Kaboom baby!!
I know a ton of ladies and higher handicap guys at my club playing both the 0211 irons and drivers. priced great and perform very solid. Mixed review on fairways but hybrids are solid.
Hey Scott, I'm a high h'cap player and upgraded from my very cheap package set to PXG when the price was right. I bought the 0211DC irons fitted for £65 a club. Really happy with them. Just waiting for delivery of a new 0211 22 degree hybrid for £99...Happy days!
I'm a big fan of your channel and I'm also considering buying the 0211 irons. One critique of your swing. Your swing look like mine. Too much inside on the back swing, which causes a little over the top on the downswing. Try taking it back a bit straighter and dropping the club in the slot on the way down. Sometimes we average golfers need another set of eyes to tell us what we're doing. Thanks for the videos.
I have 0211s thru bag with the blade irons and index went from 8.2 to 5.4
I did buy the Gen5 for £249 a couple of months back and will put it in the bag in the spring - plan is that the 0211 will be my spare/winter driver. A couple of the lads have gone PXG too as the prices make sense now.
Great review 👍 Bought two 2021 0211 drivers and a 7 wood. Just noticed today (checked while watching your vid lol) the 2022 0211's are out 🍁 I'll stick with the 2021 0211's but came this close 🤏 to getting the 2022 0211 dark irons! I'm presently using Mizzie JPX919 Hot Metals and have no issue..besides they ain't black 😎
I also bought the 0211 driver . Same irons almost. I use the 919 forged . Mizuno irons just hit different don’t they
@@danw8956 Amen to that 🙏
Just bought a full 0211 set for 1499. Unreal. Woods. Irons. Wedges. Free shipping no tax. Howwwwwwww the shafts are worth more!
It jus has happened USD 219,- for the new 0211 Driver in the US - Let’s see what pricing will hit Europe/UK - Definitely great value there Cheers, Frank (Received my Mezz.1 today😊)
Andy - the new 0211 driver is initially selling for 219 and the gen 4 is 249, here in US. But last month that same gen 4 was selling for 199.
That’s different from the info I was sent yesterday! 😂
Andy -The Msrp on the new 0211 driver is $299 here in the US but they debuted at $219.
They just raised prices across the board. 4th gen drivers were $189 now $249. These new 0211 were $189 as well and now they’re $219. Raises the irons too for the gen 4s
the soft metal has a bit of a durability issue. yes the 0211 are cast and may be economical. those softies wear the groves off the club in a year. kinda expensive
Thanks for a great video (again). As for the “problem” I would recommend mygolfspy’s latest vlog/podcast where Tony Covey gives a great explanation for the PXG phenomenon (“PXG WTF?”)
Thanks and I will take a listen
I recently added the Gen 4 0811 XT driver in 7.5* to my bag and am truly in love with this club. I have hit all of the 2022 drivers except the TSR and this driver hands down is better at least for me. The best part is that even though I hit it better than literally anything on the market, I only paid $189 US for it. That's 1/3 the price of a new TM, Callaway, Ping, or Titleist. It's truly unbeatable.
I found the gen 4 0811x to be better than the gen 5 0311 however I just switched to the tsi3 because the price came down enough due to the release of the tsr.
IMO if you are looking to switch to pxg, get the gen 4!
Dr. Parsons didn’t get rich by accident. He made a splash when he entered the market with PXG’s premium offering. Then he undercut the other brands by going direct to consumer so he can completely control pricing. He also hired some smart folks to design his product line. I just bought the previous model 0211 hybrid for $79 and play Gen 1 0211 irons.
Picked up the old 211 in Canada brand new $175 x stiff tensei shaft- absolutely stupid deal here since used drivers from 2021 are 400+ and new drivers are 700+. Took the pxg out to the range today and I can say most of my drives ended up where I was aiming, a few pulled or pushed but that's me not the driver. It appears to not be as long as my current gamer but that doesn't bother me if it goes 300+ and hits fairways and less trees. Hitting the course Saturday to see how many fairways I hit.
Great review, these new 0211 aren’t on the website yet, they have last years but appear to be sold out available in left hand only but with the Gen4 (my current gamer) at £209 you simply can’t go wrong!
Yes UK always seems a week or so behind
I’m in the US and picked up the Gen4 driver and 3-wood for under $400 shipped!
Pxg have just called me to say that they've sold out of the 2021 0211 and gen 4 so my fitting which I have paid £20 for is now for the new 0211, I'm a bit miffed.
In Australia pxg 0811 drivers are $699 aud the mark ups on golf equipment is ridiculous down here New Zealand is the same.
Ordered the 0211 driver today, £129 is rediculous I thought £199 was good, hopefully hit it better than my 2018 rogue
same as me in Canada just received my 0211 driver and hopefully going to outperform my 2018 Rogue , just waiting on a warmish day with sun to try it out , It's Canada already single digits for temp during the day . brrrrr .. LOL
@@adrianrice354 fingers crossed for us both 🤞 I range from 220-260 yard carry with my rogue at the moment but not very consistent and not sure if it's going to go left, right or down the middle it's got a synergy 50 s shaft in, went for tensei 65 s shaft for my 0211 after speaking with pxg on the phone if I get 240-250 down the middle consistent I'll be very happy especially for £129, I hope you can get back out there and try it soon but I expect in Canada winter golf is a write off
So did the 0211 outperform your 2018 Rogue?
@@JW-iz6mv for me it's not always as long but it it's definitely more forgiving also I much prefer the look at address, I'm not complaining for £129
I ordered last year's model last week (driver) and went back this morning to order 7w and it is all changed to the new version. Now kinda wishing I had waited 1 more week.
I just bought the 0211 from last year for $119 brand new. I got lucky because the recently sold out
Did you get inside yet to verify #s? As long as the 2021 0211 fairway woods? Are the squared off heads noticeable at address? Lastly, does the Diamana 70s play similar to the Tensei Blue AV Raw 75s?
Annoying thing about PXG for us in the southern hemisphere (Aus/NZ) is that they don't ship direct to us, as far as I can find and so to get one you have to buy from a retailer and they are no cheaper than all the other brands.
I have found them on Ubuy and have just made a purchase. Came to about $450 NZD Inc shipping for the 2021 driver
I think the biggest problem is the over pricing by other companies. PXG is trying to get into the market and they are, and it’s absolutely fabulous deceased to wonder performing equipment available at a price that people can afford. Other manufacturers are going right through the sky with their pricing and yes Research and development costs money, but the performance is not all that more fantastic to warrant spending all that money on a new 3-times-the-price “other 2023 released driver” for marginal gains. you can get three PXG‘s for price of one other new model? Yes… Prices on the new equipment go up every year and are getting way out of line. PXG is finally in the reality of things and selling it at an affordable price so that some people that want to play good golf, no… Great golf, actually can,
PXG drivers in the fist year where 850plus, they gave the other company room to charge more as they showed people would pay it. This is their budget range there flagship clubs are up with the companies you are calling expensive.
I know.
I’m saying that you’re getting performances good as the more pricey clubs with something that is much much less. The other clubs are overpriced PSG can produce a budget price driver that performs the way this does and they can offer it at this price. Are used to work in the golf shop so I know the equipment its capabilities and prices. But anyway it is what it is… The great buy
No problem, best driver I ever used , been golfing for 40 years!!!
In the UK, the right hand 0211 driver @ £129 has been sold out for at least two weeks. Heh ho, will stick with my 10.5 910D3😀
Was looking at getting fitting for driver fairway and a hybrid replace 10 year old taylor made rbz's but today see 0211 driver now £359 with gen 5 up to £629. Not sure what PXG are doing ?,.Will hold off for now
Was fitted for a Gen 4 driver last month and already received it, great clubs.
At 67 I am considering new irons that will last awhile, tested the Gen 5 seven iron at driver fit and could tell a big difference although price tag is higher than my budget, so my question has to do with this current video with 211 irons.
Is the technology current enough for $119/club to keep me happy for many years?
It’s a complete turn around from pxg as their initial products were so expensive.
Hopefully it starts some of the other brands to look at their prices 🤞
Love my PXG irons and hybrid. Would love to get a driver and 3 wood to finish my set
I’ve got an 0811 Gen 2 I bought when they were 250. I have no interest in a new driver, but when I do I’d buy another PXG. Money is going to lessons and playing.
I'm off for a fitting on Monday. For the 2021 if they've got any left.
Just bought the driver at 119$
With mitsubishi av raw white xstiff(shaft retail 250$) alone
Hitting bombs 350y
PXG has shown the world what other companies are really making because they are providing outstanding clubs at fractions from competitors! PXG
Think you're right Andy maybe wait to the new year see if any bargains turn up
It’s a wise move
Great products at a great price, the other manufacturers may now review their pricing models
I wonder if they will?
Here is an interesting perspective: PXG is basically promoting the component golf club market. The difference is in their use of heavy advertising and promotion that the other component sources do not provide. The only question then is whether this business model will be profitable. We'll see.....
PXG has now become Wilson golf here in the states. All the people that paid $3k for the irons are extremely disappointed with the price cut and will never own another set again.
I have 0211 irons and driver. Love them. What do you know about the Z hybrid range?
I have reviewed them
@@TheAverageGolfer thanks I'll search for it.
Amazing how much lower you can sale a quality golf club for if you cut out the whole retail chain and their markup!
Hi Andy I think my swing speeds are similar to yours what shaft would you recommend for the 0211 driver.
Stiff
I'm in Washington state in the US and they have dropped the price to 219 for the new 0211
Those look beautiful. Love the white line around the back and the crown finish.
Got a Gen4 0317X Hybrid for $169 USD. Not bad!
Am I right in thinking that the PXG design team are the same people who designed for ping? PXG have a solid line up and I can't see any reason why these follow suit. I don't think the non adjustment aspect will put average golfer off.
through my heros discount i can get the 2022 0211 driver for 260 ( canadian ) 195 ( USD ) is that a steal ? wanna get it for a 76 year old friend cheers from Canada
Ordered 0211 driver recently at $199.00 !
Andy just went on line to get one of those £129 drivers and they only have left hand, probably sold out already, just my luck.
They sold out like a week go I think, I've ordered one today, it's the only time being a lefty has been a benefit
Fairways look great! A bit clanky sounding on video tho...
Do you mean me or the golf clubs? 😂
@@TheAverageGolfer I plead the fifth, as our southern neighbours would say...
I have pxg irons and fairway woods they're fantastic
Bit of a cheek when you buy for 249 only for them to drop the price to 209 even before you’ve got fitted.
From what I understand is if they put a sale on an item you just bought they will refund the difference in PXG credit.
Obviously PXG are trying to increase their market share and make the brands think about their prices otherwise they will lose out as PXG has become affordable.
Trying to keep up with PXG gives me a headache!
I bloody love pxg
Biggest thing pxg have going for them is bob parsons can on a whim decide to slash prices on a whim unlike ping callaway etc
And golfers in general remain brand loyal so if they get in cheap and love the driver and other clubs they'll be a lot more likely to buy more pxg products in the future
Love pxg their products are so good
Been gaming PXG since gen 2. I am a lifer now. I won't even look at other clubs.
I love watching these youtube channels where the guys swing speed is obviously sub 100, yet they always hit 280-300 yards...smh...good channel though!
I've been wondering that myself. Thought I would make a you tube video and I would start hitting it 280-300 everytime.
Andy is a fraud and paid by PXG , great clubs though
Could cause the competition some problems. Does the average golfer really need the adjustability and all that carbon fibre anyway. If this becomes the trend for PXG, I wouldn't look anywhere else before them. Why would someone want to pay £500+ for a driver when you can get a premium one for half the price
PXG is causing huge problems for all the legacy golf brands that exclusively sell through the retail channel as there's just no way for these brands to move quickly on pricing, to respond to PXG, and they simply can't undo their legacy sales channel pricing structures. Just like Dell Computer put the legacy IBM PC brands out of business with its Direct-to-Consumer channel, PXG has now clearly dropped a hand grenade at their feet. PXG can literally lose money on a single club sale to acquire the customer, and then make money on subsequent sales with volume discounts or in so many other ways. By next golf season, all of TM, Ping, Callaway, and Titleist are going to have to respond or face a growing headwind of Direct-to-Consumer brands that just slowly kill the business.
Doubt it. Pxg is actually pretty expensive. Who wants to spend $500 on a new driver they haven't tested yet? Usually direct to consumer is cheaper. Not the case with pxg.
@@MrRyankush43 just ordered a brand new 0211 for £129 delivered 🤷♂️
@@anthonyhemsworth7417 yes that's an older generation clear out. Callaway and all the other top brands do the same thing(maybe not this cheap) when the new one comes out. I'm just saying they are just as expensive at the other big players.
Let em sweat, their stuff is all kinds of overpriced.
@@MrRyankush43 I just bought my son, online in Canada, their new 0211 Gen 2 Driver, with an X-flex 65gram Tensei AV shaft (same as in the new Callaways) for $219 Canadian - the 'comparable' Callaway Rogue is $699 Canadian - that's 1/3rd the price. I would say the major brands have a problem on a going-forward basis now that Covid is over and yr/yr sales comps will be much harder. When the big brands sell $700 Canadian drivers, the retailer is getting somewhere around $200-$250 of that money - on that alone, it will be a non-stop win for a well-funded brand like PXG that can keep up with development. Furthermore, when you have 2 or 3 price points, like PXG (new top-of-the-line, last year's top-of-the-line, value 0211 brand), you are just going to gut margins at the top guys who are going to try and hold pricing but slowly lose market share - this market dynamic has played out in many industries and it always ends the same way - in a Marlboro-Friday bloodbath.
Idk what it is but I always think PXG looks cheap. Especially the 0211 line. The latest Xcor2 0211 look fine though.
Can we see some 0211 driver head to heads against the bigger brands. The Gen 5 driver has barely any reviews against the more expensive competitors.
Not driver related but PXG 0211 I had the Irons last year, felt great but I would get the occasional FLYER +10 yards or more on a shot that was no different than any other. Also struggled with the low lofts extremely inconsistent performance. I ended up selling them for a loss and went and bought the TM 790’s consistent, consistent consistent Ill take that over a jacked up inconsistent iron every day. Back to being able to trust evert shot in the bag which is worth every penny over the shinny rocket-ship that is PXG 0211 Irons.
I did the exact opposite 😂 was getting the odd hot one with the 790s ending up borrowing a friends 0211s (original xcor) as I’d left my clubs at home. Ended up,selling the Tms on eBay and buying a new set of the 0211s. I guess it depends on the golfer
Im not sure how a really good performing club at an affordable price is an issue. Infact adjustability for your average golfer is more often than not a luxury or a fad we don't need, it's a novelty and we don't know what we are doing when fiddling with weights without the advice of a pro. It's all about performance particularly at the level of golfer where these are aimed. Also last year's model in the driver has sold out now
‘It’s all about performance’ preceded by ‘adjustability is a luxury’ ……which one is it? To get the best performance you require custom fit? Or is this a fad? That’s been happening for the past 15 years
Big problem is Yo-yo pricing.
Thanks And
Honestly I think the new look is a downgrade. They look cheap to me. Plain. Which is not what PXG is.
Wasn't impressed by pxg at all. Customer service was terrible.
Bought a Callaway driver & couldn't be happier. Would never recommend pxg.
£129 for a gen 4 with a £120 shaft in hahah .
If you get fitted at a PXG facility, which is free, the adjustability shouldn't matter. Once you have your settings, you don't need to make any changes.
Not entirely correct because the adjustments you can make are minimal compared to that of the GEN05
Don't care about the sound at all. Look at Ping.
They’re all overpriced so PXG is going to kill with these.
They have the price point spot on
Looks like a club manufacturing company going bust.
At the rate they are opening new retail stores (and more coming soon), this view seems very unlikely.
Lyda Spurs
These look really cheap.
I’m sorry but PXG is good for 15 handicappers but better players will never play these.
I do like PXG but the sole of the clubs Mark up very easily especially the 0311 gen 5
