I hope you keep shining a light on these stories so someday there will be no more of these stories to be told and "homeless" will be an antiquated word of the distant past.
I love that the speaker keeps saying "guests". That word and mindset seems to me would really give this a compassionate and caring experience . I was walking on Friday and noticing empty parking lots here and there and I thought it's interesting we can "find" land for cars but drag the proverbial feet for people. This MUST change. I think letting, offering, requiring people to work or volunteer is critical. This takes away the argument of "just a handout" and, most importantly, gives someone some dignity, and experience while contributing. Same for all of us - paid or not.
I’m in a DV shelter and recently received a voucher. I hope I find something something soon. Once I graduate with my Masters I plan to commit a few years to DV shelters, shelters and the Nicu. I would have never thought I’d be in this situation. It can happen to anyone smh. These people are awesome! I can’t wait to be apart of the help!!

COVID took my mother and the lockdowns devastated my finances now I'm just an average guy am heading for homeless life has been very unforgiving for so many people.
I'm in San Francisco and I have wrote u before I am trying to start back working it sucks I don't have any family and I was adopted by bad people. I hope someone sees this to write me back

Why has America the great so much homelessness? In NYC and LA area there are so many wealthy people. If they actually shared their wealth and didn’t see the need to live in such opulence this issue may resolve. What about buying buildings to use as supported housing. These rich folk need to step up.

Some people are homeless and still work up to 40hours a week struggling to find a apartment thats safe and affordable
