I last stayed at Akumal 2 years ago and on the surface not much has changed. However I was particularly interesting to hear about the new a la carte locations as I will be staying here this Christmas.

Hi there trying to plan a trip to Mexico. My family and I love huge resorts so we came across these. Our major things are amazing food and great entertainment! Out of the entire complex which has the best food and entertainment?? Also which resort is the newest on the complex? Lastly I’ve been reading reviews and ppl said there’s barely any AC is that true?Thanks so much
For myself I would do the Tulum. The best food, updated and super kid friendly!
@@zaharoulab I’m going with ages 20-65 haha so would Tulum still be your top choice? For us adults only resorts isn’t necessary. We just wanna know which one was the best in terms of food and entertainment. When you went was the AC and issue for you?
@@caral9234 be careful with Bahia Principe. We have JUST returned from there - in July 2024 - and made this review: ua-cam.com/video/L8juqiWwa1M/v-deo.html - the hotel had NO AC working almost anywhere. Black mold in rooms, in public toilets, open electric wires here and there, broken ceiling in many areas, and in general the hotel is in sort of decay. They are repairing it, but they still charge you full price WHILE repairing the hotel in your presence :) So it's just insane.

Those just opened when I got there, so yes they are available but couldn't grab footage of them since they were already booked and just launched. Try their website for images?

I'm going from Canada and its freezing here but I'm Brazilian and usually 27 to 30°c its hot in Brazil.. in Vancouver 18 its hot so I'm no sure if I need pants and jackets or not.. the forecast for the next 10 days doesn't look so promising 😢
Compared to Vancouver its summertime here, but when I travel I always bring a sweater and light jacket in case as you never know

i was there 2 years ago and in 2014
(when it was great), the place was in very rough shape. The main pool was rusting under the bridges, difficult entry and exits. Not much seating in the lobby, almost like they were expecting an event so they moved all the chairs out. I can't see the improvements unfortunately in this video. still a 3 out of 5
The only thing that hasn't changed from what you explained is the extra seating in lobby, everything else was clean and beautiful and plenty of chairs by pool areas/beach.
How do you think a walk through video will help not get lost? People surely just watch to see if they want to stay there or not. Not as a map guide
Bc it works. Many have commented that it helps. But either way, YES they are getting a tour to see if they like the resort. The vidoes are for everyone NOT just people who are already booked.
