ECR 2023: Iuga on Philips' new AI-boosted MR SmartSpeed technology

Dr. Andra-Iza Iuga, radiology supervisor at Cologne University Hospital in Germany, explained the benefits of working with Philips’ MR SmartSpeed technology, which combines the Compressed SENSE speed engine with an AI reconstruction tool.
‘With SmartSpeed, we can acquire images much faster, meaning we can scan patients faster and (offer them) a more comfortable experience,’ she told DI Europe on the second day of ECR 2023 in Vienna, Austria.
The technology enables to have less motion artefacts, resulting in better image quality and the possibility for more patients to access MRI examinations.
