A business class trip report from boarding to takeoff to landing in an A350-941, including some fantastic engine sound on takeoff and a scenic arrival next to the coast! Explore the seat and lie-flat bed, walk from economy to business class during cruise and enjoy the view of the XWB engines as they roar during takeoff. Increased demand due to the Cannes film festival made the A350 a viable option for this route, while the Boeing 777-300 was used a week later!
After Lufthansa's Palma rotation in the 747-8i and Edelweiss' Rome rotation in the A340, this is by far the shortest flight in a widebody I have been on in Europe. Check those videos out!

Along with the 747 and 777 I think the A350 is one of the best looking airliners flying today. Beautiful aircraft.

nice video but POOR catering in AF domestical BC! if this is the best, how worse are the other airlines of the western EU?
Thanks for watching! Indeed, catering was (to say the least) not up to standards. Of course, the excuse is that this is an unusually short flight for the A350, yet still bookable for the general public with business class prices - this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, the 777 was used on this route! Sad to see such a slip as I have heard AF offers a great business class service.
I find the B787 also less noisy then the A350.
They can kill that awful music and the Captain telling you the would land at 1pm was poor as you actually landed at 1.10pm. Not good at all.
Good PAs are essential to keep passengers on the same page, it was a little shame indeed. Not a fan of the music either, but after a long transatlantic journey it may be suiting!

The two times I have used Air France biz class long haul were a mixed bag. Both were 77W and although hard product is very good, the cabin service really depends on the attitude of the staff on the day. This is noticeably different than traveling with Asian carriers.

What's the point of business class when you get literally the same service as economy? Very poor food and beverage choices from air France. You get better catering at cheap local airlines...
To be fair there should have been a notice on their booking system informing passengers of what service to expect; I understand that it is irregular to schedule a widebody on a 1 hour sector but it would be nice to inform passengers. Thanks for watching!
