How do we differentiate between Soul and Pure Soul? Pujya Niruma explains that Soul - the Self and non-living self themselves are eternal elements and because of that, they are pure by nature. Then the question is, if the soul is indestructible, then how does binding of karma occur? If the Soul/Self is non-doer, why is it called knower-Seer? Pujyashree Deepakbhai says that the body has arisen from the presence of the Soul. Ego has arisen from union of the Self and non-living self elements. Ego leads to intellect, attachment-abhorrence and Karma binding. Due to the separation of the two elements in the Gnanvidhi, karma binding stops.
