This EP is perfection! I don't want to start sterile discussions about influences (which shouldn't matter when the final product is not a copy / pastiche), but has anyone felt that Symptom and The Paramount Empire might be the heart of Esoteric Warfare (a brilliant album, too)? That metallic anguish, thrown against the world with a devilish & brilliant technique, in a perfect mix of black+industrial+avant-garde...
I remember having an really weird and intense trip while listening to 666 International in my teenage days. Can't say that i recommend it but it was an very unique and creepy experience.
Unrelenting pressure of drums, interesting and dramatic dis/harmonic riffs, eclectic samples and instrumentals, all overlooked by insane preaching authority of Aldrahn. For me, the essence not only of Dodheimsgard, but also of 2nd wave of black metal.
@@fredriklindberg7761 Snorre said that second Thorns album is already finished and locked away and that he's waiting for the right time to release it. If that time ever comes.
It's actually a photograph of my aunt walking in on me masturbating. I snapped it real quick and sent it to the fellas. Said, hey, now here's an album cover
+John Lewis That's a topic I'm really into these days. I've been listening to these bands since 1996 and the scenepolice types are quite interesting. I mean there are guys that haven't even bought any new black metal albums since like 1997 and they allways say that the sound is somehow better in the old Grieghallen records and that the lousy sound and type of playing is what they like the most. You know, how the 1st and the 2nd Dark Throne almbus differ. I myself have grown up with all of the Norwegian old school BM bands and really like allmost all of the stuff they put out.
True genius, this album Is really well produce. Diversity, violence, grandiose ambience and the drums!!! I never got tired of listening since the first day it came out. Vocals would have been better with Someone like Satyr for certain parts of the album, completed by the mad Adrahn for certain parts
+Adronera I remember when this was released and in some interwiev they said that they wanted the EP to sound like a factory. Pretty much nailed it when it comes to the songs with guitar.
A) Coming fro a guy with a dumb ass profile image like yours, it doesnt hold much weight. B) Not all dark or satanic shit needs to have the same aesthetics. Macabre encompasses more than pentagrams and skulls.

Chaotic original black metal masterpiece. Will never get enough of it.

LOVE this! The Twin Peaks references and samples are great!
This ep is definanly a diamond in the rough...... love the Twin Peaks samples.....
i lose myself into this record everytime i listen to. So fucking perfection
One of their best albums, in my opinion..
+fwyion jlock Possibly the best IMHO
+fwyion jlock Cant decide between 666 International, Supervillain Outcast or Umbra omega. But this is something different.
i feel it is their best.
Not kronet Til konge?
you guys should listen Kronet til konge, their all albums are piece of shit compared to Kronet til Konge lol
This has been on my playlist since it came out.
Aldrahn of Zyklon B brought me here. This is another masterpiece touched by the devilish one.
Just from the future!
masterpiece

You can tell it's apollyon on drums because of his generous crash cymbals
Hell yeah. I love it!
Your sure it's Apollyon?
I thought it was Agressor
@@wesleywarsmith1113 aggressor is more random and frantic.. he was on 666 intl and supervillain outcast..they both have distinct drum styles
Such an awesome EP, but too short!
Ultra schizophrenic
This is perfection. Too short :'(

Definately got the Art bit right. Avant-garde demonic black metal.
Yeah, for me Aldrahn was the magic of dödheimsgard now if they just can release the new Thorns as Urarv isn't doin it for me!!!

there are 6 songs here, the one from the minute 11:00 is not tittled here... where can I find that?
Wow.. traces of reality
+Guillermo Abad Wow is a good word to describe Traces of Reality for sure, still one of my favorite black metal songs ever.
A black metal album with a pole vaulter on the front cover? I've seen it all now
nice painting on the album cover!
+raainder peyskens It's not a painting.
def. their best
Brutal
666 Kilotons of destructive metal
Riff school
he's a master rifftician, no doubt
Anyone knows the name of the original painting with that guy's face in the left side of the cover?

Satanic Art? Like it.
Touch the devilish one...
you mean -> ...touched by the devilish one. It's a sample from TWIN PEAKS, the whole album is based on TWIN PEAKS.

He sounds great on albums like thorns and rebel extravaganza, so try a bit harder you fucking noob.
Why does Satyr need to be on the album? Satyr is fine, but these vocals are exactly what was needed.
Too tame.
Unless a large enough dose of methamphetamine is applied to one's brain before hand.😄
