    Still recommend LG after they are exiting solar?

    Couple of things...the Q-Cell website says 20.6 efficiency. Also the labor warranty is evidently dependant on the installer's terms. The authorized local outfits here are offering 25 parts and labor on Q-Cell with Enphase IQ8 Plus or IQ8M.

    Why did you stop selling Solaria XT panels? I got an estimate for them in New England but I am nervous as it seems they are not at the same level as others however I think it has the best shading performance.

    Can you please give me a brief recommendation comparing these 2 panels: LG Neon2 LG370N1K-A6 with Enphase Energy IQ7 IQ7A-72-2-US-240 and REC Alpha REC385AA Pure Black with Enphase Energy IQ7PLUS IQ7PLUS-72-x-US-240? They are at the same price point of $2.60 per watt. I live in PA, so I can't get a quote from Pacific Sun Tech. Thanks!

    What about start time for power? I remember you doing video on panels starting earlier in the day and work on cloudy days were some would not start creating power for like a hr after the sun would come up

    ...I think everyone could afford at least 1*300W solar panel + cable +mc4+ a simple grid tied inverter with fan here where everyday is a sunny day..but there is no one selling it here..I think only me have a 72cell solar panel within 100 km radius ..

    EnPhase IQ8 has max power is at 300VA, these panel is 400 watt you will get clipping. You offered a higher end panels (LG and REC) but your Q8 Can't handle it. Why are you not recommend SolaEdge Optimizer and inverter?

    • @dalerolph
      @dalerolph  2 роки тому

      Enphase micro inverters come in different wattages, just like SolarEdge central inverters. The IQ8 is the lowest wattage micro which is intended for low wattage solar panels, the PLUS, M, A, and H models have much higher wattages.

      @alvinhoang1800 2 роки тому

      @@dalerolph the iQ8H peak output power is 384VA, where your panel graded at 400watts you still get clipping. Your panels is too strong for your iQ8H can handle.

      @@alvinhoang1800 you’re looking at the STC rating of the module but should be looking at the PTC or NOCT ratings. The STC is the absolute best power output of the module in a label under very specific conditions. A good solar system will have between a 1.2 and 1.3 DC to AC ratio, meaning the DC power rating should be larger than the AC power rating.

    • @MrDontcareify
      @MrDontcareify 2 роки тому

      @@alvinhoang1800 not to mention that some clipping isn’t that bad of a thing to worry about. With SolarEdge you only nominally get a little bit more than 1% more efficiency, but not with all of the other benefits that Enphase brings to the table.

      @@MrDontcareify But depending on your situation (e.g., ground-mounted panels further away from the home), microinverters will require either larger power conductors, or will have increased I^2*R losses due to the higher currents at the lower voltage (240V) vs. higher-voltage DC with a string inverter or the SolarEdge inverter/power-optimizer configuration. The system I'm working on for my home has the ground-mounted array 100 yards away from the home, so the potential losses in the conductors just can't be ignored when doing a system design.
