I congratulate you for the work done so far. Regarding the dedications of Sagreras to each of the guitarists to whom he subtitles his works, they are biographically detailed and described in the book "dictionary of guitarists" by Domingo Prat, difficult to obtain on paper, but available virtually online. another thing, will you upload tutorials to play these studies? (just as he did with Carcassi; Giuliani; Sor; Regondi) since I would like to venture into the works of my compatriot Julio Sagreras. Congratulations again, and a big greeting from Argentina
Thanks for the great information. I do plan to do lots of tutorials on all kinds of things in the future. Keep an eye on the channel. I shall look for the dictionary of guitarists now!
Thank you very much for your efforts. You are doing such a good deed. Greetings from Belarus. I wish prosperity to your channel and increase in the number of subscribers.🙏🎸🎵❤️💐💐💐
This is a fantastic effort David - such an achievement and a wonderful resource for guitarists to use as a reference. I bought the books some months ago now (after you had just completed Book 1) and this week I have actually got off my butt (stopped noddling) and got them out to start work on Book 1. My goal is to work through each book methodically. After hearing you perform each book I have to say there are many pieces that stand up to being played as performance pieces in their own right imho.
Thanks so much for this. I am currently working on the last 10 (not all at once!) in book 6, and posting them once I get up to tempo. Really nice to finally be able to find such a terrific reference before I attempt the next study.
@@davidjaggsI especially like #17! I started on Sagreras a few years back, have taken a break from classical, but you’ve inspired me to pick it up and get back into playing etudes again.
Maybe something like what you've done here, I mean less recorded. Many artists have recorded the lobos. It's been recorded amid less n Coste etudes a lovely .
@@davidjaggs play, well this one is actual pieces. (Not just little phrases of partial scales) I’m watching it nite. I have a bunch of erodes by Sagreras, I just don’t really know what they are became I threw away any title pages I had gotten off of Delcamp. I thought I had about twenty Maximo Pujol rides with them, but couldn’t find them. That’s bugging me right now. lol smh
@@davidjaggs I guess I’ll go through them along with these to see which books I actually have... lol Maybe I’ll finally be able to play BWV997 like I’ve always wanted to. I HAVE THE JOSE AZPIAZU TRANSCRIPTION OF THAT ONE ALSO!!! (Try that one and tell me if it’s easy)
20:30 first thing in the morning for me and I already need to work on that one... BUT I CAN’T FIND IT IN MY MESS! I don’t even know where I put my Dark Apothic.... smh lol

Hello and thank you for watching. Sadly I haven't had time... I sometimes do lessons by zoom.

Thanks Matt, the Sagreras videos were my lockdown project!

I still can't get over this....surely this is fake!!!!! Pure dedication of the highest level.
Thanks Tasos. It isn't fake, but it took quite a long time!
Or maybe the carcassi method?
I've done the 25 studies, they're on UA-cam. Thanks for watching 👍

Man... how many “books”.... until you’re actually playing real pieces of music!?! lol
I finished book 6, picked up a Bach Suite and it seemed easy...
@@davidjaggs well... I doubt it was frank Koonce book BWV997. lol
