8:02 LMFAOOOO Sharon said “wait hold on a minute sir” “You’re disrespectful! You’re homophobic, i am they! I am not sir!” Sharon said “oh 😬😩” Lmfaoooo omg that “oh” and that face she did was too funny…. Aw poor Sharon❤
I had no idea my cousin Amber could sing... correction SANG, until she was 25, and I happened to come to the house one day. (When she saw me she stopped, and I was stuck, her voice is Amazing) My Auntie knew, but she says she is too shy and never sang outside of the house. I tried for years to get her to sing, but it was just for her.
9:21 This! I can understand we're all learning things daily, but it's hard to tell who's being genuine in "not knowing" and who's weaponizing ignorance.
As someone who watched this podcast from the beginning, I miss when Keke used to end on a game with Sharon and Max. I also miss Max lol. Just a thought to maybe bring it back but every episode is great! 🫶🏾
Another brilliant show. Keke I really think you need to have alok v menon on this show. He did a podcast on the man enough podcast talking about gender and sexuality and I think it’s very important. He is a scholar and would really work magic in the room. Please invite him to the podcast 🙏🏾
Bisexual means you like both genders but it can still be very limiting. For example a bisexual man wouldn’t be interested in a woman who is masculine presenting. Pansexual is a bit deeper because it’s acknowledging that love is deeper than gender and sexual orientation, it completely opens the door for people of any expression to be attractive to you. Pansexual people are attracted to the spirit more than the physical and gender representation.
Oh no, we had those labels, but Prince and Michael was liked and protected, a lot of folks who were not, got those labels, and attacks. They couldn't reach Michael Jackson and Prince, but they could reach Kevin, TyQuan, and Nick, whom they went to school with. (If they brought that energy to Prince and Michael, they knew they wouldn't leave the room untouched, or ambulatory)
Trans men are men and trans women are women, so that’s not the distinction between bi and pan ❤ pan people are attracted to people regardless of gender whereas bi people are attracted 1) to people of their same gender and 2) people who have a different gender than them
I’m with Sharon and I’m actually in this younger generation, younger than Keke even. I think a lot of the labels and things are getting out of hand. The gender and non binary thing has really become confusing. I think at the root of all of these things is people aren’t wanting to be restricted or labeled at all. I’m someone who don’t really believe labels in most cases are necessary. If you were born and or present as male someone calling you sir shouldn’t offend you. I just really will never get that but I’m respectful of all paths because everyone has their own views and ideals. Doesn’t mean we all have to agree but we should be respectful and understanding as much as we can.
As queer millennials and for those who are Gen Z ( the younger generation), the world is evolving with new terms and language that is equally fascinating and at times confusing. We have to mindful that a lot of older generations, straight and LGBTQ, didn't grow up with the modern terms like non-binary, gender-fluid, and going by pronouns such they/them. While i understand you want people to respect your individuality, sometimes people don't understand everything and may or may not want to understand everything that is different but everything shouldn't be a reaction. Give yourself some grace and give the next person the same in return. Give the next individual a chance to process and learn and educate themselves
25:57 Yes! And that's why comedy is highly selective for me now. I can't just watch any and everyone. It's definitely more personal to what you relate to.
I was told my my psychiatrist that I was seeing at the time for depression cuz my mom died he said that I was probably going to be a sociopath of some sort because he said that something about me not being interested in sex or he asked me the question are you having sex and I would usually answer that question like no like why would I have sex like it was just like the question itself just wasn't from New Year to me and it just to me just seemed like why do I need to have sex I'm not having sex it just never clicked to me that I should be having sex or whether I wanted to have sex I don't know I don't know where it started happening when I turned 19. And I lost my virginity at 19
