Lennox is an all out Athlete. He could Box, he could move, he could dig in and trade blows. The man had angles and he could lunge from half way across the ring. You were never safe in the ring with Lennox
I watched Lennox Lewis in his prime, always carried himself with class, utterly destructive when fully locked in and had the wherewithal and presence of mind to overcome the two blemishes on his record to be able to say he beat every fighter he came up against. Defintely one of the top 5 HWs in the history of the sport.

Lennox "mentored" Frazer Clarke for his recent fight Fabio Wardley. It didn't end well for Frazer. Lennox has also "trained/ mentored" Hasim Rahman's son. He hasn't achieved anything in his boxing career. Lennox also "mentored" David Price. What did he achieve in his boxing career? Joshua is an experienced pro and doesn't need mentoring from Lennox Lewis.
Lennox could teach him how to use his reach and strength and ringcraft to save energy as he slows down. Lennox adapted his style in his later years and was as good as when he was younger.
Lewis was so avoided, even early in his career. After that Razor Ruddock demolition he was the real danger man of the division. I'd wager he is one of the most avoided boxers of all time.
Lewis fought and dismantked Razor Ruddock in 2 rounds and Razor was a fighter not too many fighters wanted to mix with. Tyson beat Ruddock on a decision in the early 90's. Lewis was a very very good champion and fighter.

Does Lennox Lewis really have AJs best interest at heart? I’m not so sure. Moreover, he’s a great fighter, but he’s not a trainer. He told Fraser Clarke to move his hands more when in a high guard, Fraser did that and got caught with a big overhand right & got sparked out in a round
Deontay wilder also took help from lennox lewis look what happened to him, and there's plenty of other boxers who took help from lennox and then got destroyed ! The same as when Mike tyson has trained someone, it don't always work out that way
He didn't coach Price, he was an adviser due to o Frank Maloney managing Price but his trainer oversaw the training camp. Lewis left mine midway through camp because he questioned Price's attitude. That's the only pro fight where he had a role.

Lennox lost to McCall for 2 reasons. 1st is Manny Steward noticed he had a rude stance and would take a split second longer to land a right hand, so he trained McCall to throw a short right hand simultaneously with Lewis and he would beat him to the punch which he did. Second is that Lewis was at his best when he took away his opponents weapons early then gradually broke ppl down and took them out. His trainer was a loud mouth motivational speaker type like Steve Crocodile Fitch and advised Lewis to go out there and take McCall out. Now, nobody knocks out Oliver McCall. He’s sparred hundreds of rounds with Tyson and nobody ever put him down. Terrible advice!!! Lewis could’ve kept it long and peppered him with the jab then slowly started to let the rest of the arsenal go and he would’ve beaten him on points or stopped him on his feet late on. The rematch was bad timing for McCall but we saw what Lewis with the right tactics does to him.
He was a heroin addict who never fought anyone decent until he’d already ruined his own career with addiction and women. That’s not a great. Could have been, all his own fault
haha good one. Tyson ducked Lewis for 6 years, got stripped of his wbc title for refusing to fight lewis, even paid lewis four million not to fight him, turned down two huge offers to fight lewis, it's all well documented, tyson was terrified of lewis, even admitted after they fought ''i couldve never beaten this guy, he's too big and too strong, a masterful boxer''. Mike isn't even the second best of that era either, that goes to holyfeild.
Lennox shouldn’t waste a second more time thinking about helping Anthony Joshua. He just doesn’t deserve any help from him. He called Lewis a ‘clown’ a few years ago. Totally disrespectful. I think AJ thought that HE was going to be better than Lewis and that just shows how arrogant Joshua is. He really has thought his whole career that HE is the best thing ever. You could even still see this arrogance when he was saved by the bell at the end of the first round against Dubois. The bell went and when AJ got up and realised he was saved he stuck his tongue out at Daniel. He was also banging his chest like King Kong while taking another count, as if HE had just knocked Daniel down. WTF? SHEER ARROGANCE.
Lewis just wants his name out there he’s being passive aggressive because he’s very egotistical and always has been if you were around in the 90”s you know what I’m talking about . Joyce kod / made him quit him and uysk did the same...I'm sure Fury would be just fine ..
@@darren1989 Fury don't have a chin like Joyce and he quit due to a serious injury. He quit vs Usyk due to being overwhelmed and schooled and knew what was about to come and he had no answer. There's a difference. Fury has seen the canvas 8 times from weaker punchers than Dubois. Buddy, Fury won't be fine, Dubois will get that overhand right in easily.
Everyone Lewis gives boxing advice to gets batterd in the ring😂
Walking away from the klitschko rematch was such a let down, the world wanted that fight, finally he had a serious challenge, terrible way of going out. He knew he had a serious chance of losing.
Lennox was almost 38 and Vitali was 31. Lennox already had victories over Tyson, Rahman, Tua, Botha, Holyfield, Briggs, Golota, Ray Mercer, Morrison, McCall, Bruno, Tony Tucker and Razor Ruddock and was only going to slow down. Were none of those a serious challenge? It was the perfect way to finish his career. Far from disappointing
Lennox was fully intent on continuing his career before the vitali fight😂, the perfect time to walk away lmao everybody wanted that rematch and he skipped town, I could pick apart the resume for example mccall was out of crack rehab before their rematch and had a break down in the damn ring. Vitali was probably the only opponent lennox had that was same height same weight same amateur pedigree as Lewis himself and he bailed out .
😅
