Something I love about Erased is how centered it is yet astronomical it feels. Yes, the literal fabric of reality is being torn apart but it’s to stop one man, in Japan, as a child, simply by spending more time with his peers. Revival isn’t being used to stop an apocalyptic circumstance. It’s being used to protect the people around you.
Finished it yesterday, and at first I found the twist to be quite obvious (It was clear it was Yoshiro even before the candy scene), but then I realized that it isn't the point of the story. The story is about relationships, friendship, being loyal and faithful to your friends, and if you judge it by that, it's an amazing and compelling story. Glad it entered Netflix!

The opening feels so nostalgic even though I only just watched the anime earlier this year. Just a rush of emotions and it just has u reflecting on life especially when you’re a young adult in your 20s. It’s kinda therapeutic in a way lol. Def gonna rewatch soon.

I just think the Butterfly Effect thematic is a great plot device. also worked for the live action movies by the same name and Life is Strange. I think this anime might have done it best though.

That's why in the anime hospital scene Satoru cried when he met Kayo again after 15 years. In the manga Kayo actually waited until she was in middle school but Satoru's Mom told her to move on with her life which I think was the right call. He may have never woke up and she would be waiting for nothing. I don't really hate Airi either. Its my personal preference since I don't like dating younger women. I mean Airi was 17 when Satoru was 29 soooooooo...
Almost been a month when I watched this anime for the first time. Ended up being FAR better than I thought it was gonna be, a solid 9/10. The emotions this anime made me go through, especially the anxiety for Kayo. Hoping that she’d stay safe at the end of the series and such
Kayo lowkey carried all of the earlier episodes. She managed to get you as the viewer to care for the actions taken in the show. There was so much tension until Satoru finally managed to save her
I really liked this anime, the characters were well written especially the mother, the many character was likable, the villain was so charismatic that I honestly was caught off guard for the reveal, the animation was beautiful, loved the design of the world and characters, there were a few hiccups here and there when it came to plot related things and you kind of have to allow the “revival” element go to make sense for the story to work, to me that’s what hurt the anime. I’d definitely say subjectively i’d give the series a hard 9/10 but if I’m going for more of an objective rating than 7/10

I'm guessing this is a reference to Hinazuki being a cheater lol. I needed a month or so just to cope through the 5 stages of grief but in the end, Satoru is still the MC
Can't even begin to explain how good of a anime this truly was. Amazing characters, plot development, character development, cinematography, and so much more. Only other thing I could wish for is that they added at least 2 more episodes to really wrap it up instead of the pretty lazy ending they did. Overall, still a banger of a anime.
I honestly think that this is the only Opening that I haven´t skipped a single time, but rather rewatched it. Everytime I see it, I immediately get goosebumps, have a bright smile on my face and feel a strong wave of happiness and relief come forth. It is simply my favourite opening and will always have a special place in my heart.
I know it’s only a show, but it really has taught me to go out and start exploring life before it’s too late. It sounds dumb, but I’m so glad I got it recommended to me!

The opening feels so nostalgic even though I only just watched the anime earlier this year. Just a rush of emotions and it just has u reflecting on life especially when you’re a young adult in your 20s. It’s kinda therapeutic in a way lol. Def gonna rewatch soon.

I just think the Butterfly Effect thematic is a great plot device. also worked for the live action movies by the same name and Life is Strange. I think this anime might have done it best though.

-When I looked up the english lyrics I felt contented and sad at the same time with what happened to Kayo and Satoru. I think the song is from Kayo's point of view, the "waiting" parts of the lyrics. But it fits Satoru as well. Its better than most slice of life genre for me. Sure Satoru didn't love her before he went back in time, But as when he was saving her they made new memories together and their feelings for each other developed. That's why in the anime hospital scene Satoru cried when he met Kayo again after 15 years.
In the manga Kayo actually waited until she was in middle school but Satoru's Mom told her to move on with her life which I think was the right call. He may have never woke up and she would be waiting for nothing.
I don't really hate Airi either. Its my personal preference since I don't like dating younger women. I mean Airi was 17 when Satoru was 29 soooooooo...

Almost been a month when I watched this anime for the first time. Ended up being FAR better than I thought it was gonna be, a solid 9/10. The emotions this anime made me go through, especially the anxiety for Kayo. Hoping that she’d stay safe at the end of the series and such

Kayo lowkey carried all of the earlier episodes. She managed to get you as the viewer to care for the actions taken in the show. There was so much tension until Satoru finally managed to save her

I really liked this anime, the characters were well written especially the mother, the many character was likable, the villain was so charismatic that I honestly was caught off guard for the reveal, the animation was beautiful, loved the design of the world and characters, there were a few hiccups here and there when it came to plot related things and you kind of have to allow the “revival” element go to make sense for the story to work, to me that’s what hurt the anime. I’d definitely say subjectively i’d give the series a hard 9/10 but if I’m going for more of an objective rating than 7/10

Can't even begin to explain how good of a anime this truly was. Amazing characters, plot development, character development, cinematography, and so much more. Only other thing I could wish for is that they added at least 2 more episodes to really wrap it up instead of the pretty lazy ending they did. Overall, still a banger of a anime.

かよ好きにとってはモヤモヤするエンディングだったかもしれないけど、あいり好きの俺にとっては非の打ちどころがない完璧な作品だったな。面白さを初期から完結まで維持するって中々出来ることじゃないし、シュタゲもそうだけど、間違いなくタイムリープアニメの歴史に刻まれた傑作だと思う。

I honestly think that this is the only Opening that I haven´t skipped a single time, but rather rewatched it.
Everytime I see it, I immediately get goosebumps, have a bright smile on my face and feel a strong wave of happiness and relief come forth.
It is simply my favourite opening and will always have a special place in my heart.
