also try lookijg up shooting range in vr chat and u can find andixous shooting range or some shit and u got a fully interactive pistol m1 grand and alot of rifles!
3:35 It's just bizarre and interesting having a discussion with some Japanese teen driving a car with male voice as I see the car veer off from the road
I'm totally with you on that wish. Honestly, I have gotten to the point where if there is any game that gives you a "full body" without a way to control it, it hurts me.
I tried FBT for the first time with my advanced RMA index controllers, and vive wands. Apart all the wires, it was awesome. Now I have "only" 2 wands and index controllers, and thought that until I get a tracker, I wouldn't be able to use FBT. With owoTrack, you can make a virtual tracker under your head for the hips and it works really well when standing/sitting !
This is what I have to say, as someone who loves driving and motorsports in general, if you are someone that thinks this is the best way to recreate driving on a “budget”. You should not buy full body tracking for VR for the most immersive driving, except for those that just have money to throw away, at this time (2022). I personally use a Oculus Rift S, along with a Fanatec CSL DD force feedback wheel, 3-pedals, 7 speed/sequential shifter, and a handbrake. With all this, I never think about wanting a full body tracking system when driving in VR, because it would not give me much more immersion, as the force feedback that comes from my sim racing setup gives me actual feeling. Now, although, it probably would be far more immersive to mix something like this VR Chat world with a wheel setup, it would be extremely expensive and experimental. Not to mention that, outside of haptic suits and smell recreating machines, there isn’t anything that a good VR headset w/ controllers, steering wheel setup with a motion platform and a wind machine can’t recreate. The main thing I would consider though is support for your devices, and right now (if you use pc) almost all sim racing devices can be plugged in via usb and work in at least a few games. Idk why I made this soo long, but if you read it all, I hope you got some good info for deciding what to buy or get.
this driving world is fucking ass, over half the time my fbt isn`t even tracking, when i want to close an ajar door i just get in the car when that isn`t what i want to do and there`s no clear communication on where the ignition is on some of the cars, this world is confusing
For the record, you're not seriously suggesting that this would be in any way viable as a racing sim input method, right? You do understand the value of a physical racing controller kit, no?
I feel people who are REALLY into driving sims, will already be spending their money on wheels and pedals. I am not a driving sim fanatic, so my perspective is getting something for around 300 dollars to boost immersion in VR things that are not only driving.
i'd love to experience this, unfortunately, the only things i have are a physical steering wheel, physical pedals, a physical handbrake and a physical shifter, and zero full body tracking gear
Car words, so weird, what does it all mean?!? 🤷♂️ Manual cars eh, you already got automatic cars yeah? 🤔 I wish VRChat supported more than three trackers, but I guess this is fine. 😬
did you have to do something for full body to work? I have the avatar in the world calibrated and can see the legs move outside of a car, but when I sit in it the legs go trough the seat and won’t move
You can play this world without full body tracking/or even in desktop mode. But it isn't really worth trying unless you are at least with someone with FBT
Please let me know how well this works for you! I have been recommending Kinect as a cheap way for people to dip their toes into Full Body Tracking. And I'm sure this will make more people wanna try it out.
@@SadlyItsBradley So I spent a bit of time trying it now with my kinect360 using kinect to vr and it works surprisingly well you can absolutley play this with kinect full body tracking ps: thx for the great video showing this I would have never even found this
I see the point of full body tracking.... if it costs $30 and doesn't require base stations :P ....it has always been cool tho..... and that's all some people need
"VRChat" and "Immersion" are two words that I do not expect to mix, especially when it comes to interacting with objects.
Whatcha talking about!? The jiggle physics are SUPER immersive >.>

Now you just need a race track for your full body controlled cars
Yep. The world has a track that goes around in a circle. But it isn't the best track ever, haha.

i wish i had full body tracking in boneworks. would solve some of that getting stuck on things issue and kicking would be rad lol

the issue with boneworks is that the legs are a facade.

Now imagine this in assetto corsa.

This is gonna be the future when full body tracking will be cheaper, but until i'm gonna stick with my g27. But the idea its so cool!

were you actually pressing the clutch pedal in when you were shifting?
Full body tracking would be good if it was cheap

Thats fair. It is really expensive. And there still isn't much content for it despite the concept being around longer than the Quest platform itself
