I definitely echo what your buddy you mentioned said about using the rage swimmer in the spring and caffeine shad in the fall. That cooling water in the fall calls for that caffeine shad and its more subtle appeal imho. More commitments and less followers/tail biters. Biggest difference is the tail angle, rage is more of a 90 degree vs caffeine is closer to a 70 and it’s a different stiffer plastic which is key in the colder water, imo. They’re 2 very different animals. You’re right about the rage for open water and caffeine for swim jig’n. I was late to the game on that one. Big difference!
