My wife is a classical singer and teacher, we live in Brittany, France. A few weeks ago I was listening to a show of hands CD and she asked me who is that singing.I told her it was Steve Knightley and she said what a wonderful voice he has. P.S. I loved the story about the man from Cornwall, asking if it was you, who wrote cousin jack. And when you told him you lived in Devon, he said why can't you mind your own business . Having lived in Cornwall for a great many years, it was quite typical.
@@SteveKnightleyOfficial do you always use this tuning on the octave mandolin? I'm watching "Show of Hands's" live performance from Shrewsbury Folk festival 2022 as I'm typing this, gotta say man - lovely song and playing. Like seriously - I just stumbled upon you on youtube, but I allready love you artistry!
The "soundcheck video" brought me here and I don't regret it at all
Me too...!
@@coalville1234 and me !
Me as well….!
also me...:-)
Wanted to check if someone who can do sound check also can do music. Not disappointed at all.
Thanks
awesome !
I also saw the sound check video and then this popped up. Fabulous job on this Mr. Knightley, I’m certain that Mr. Knopfler approves.

extending the limits of the mandocello with a truly great arrangement of a great song.
A lovely love song sung and played by one of England's finest modern day Troubadours, wonderful
Ace Steve, such emotion
Doing the original more than justice, voice and instrument - a quite exceptional rendering.
Such a natural version of this magical song ❤
Great rendition love this sounds so good on cello mandocello
Saw him perform this live last night. Beautiful!

Fantastic! A great rendition 👌🏻
One of my favourite songs and you have done a good job with your version, coming from a hard critic, well done Sir.
Amazing cover of the song. Thanks Steve.
Having been on your mandocello workshop recently this is one, I'll be having a go at, got the new album yesterday excellent as expected
Cheers Phil
Nice one, Steve.
Beautiful. The link for your show dates and locations is not loading. Can you post that?
Mark Knopfler was my favourite guitarist. Now I'm unsure because I think Steve might be. :)
Hey man, lovely performance! What instrument is this? Irish bouzouki? Cittern? Octave mandolin?
An Octave Mandolin to be precise. Tuned GDAD.
