Just shows she flies off the handle without Charlie’s strategizing. She couldn’t even tell him after the show what she wanted during the game (according to Charlie’s interview afterwards). She was in the moment obviously and was a really great competitor but I don’t think she would have made it as far to prove that without aligning with Charlie and at the very least- she should have given him her vote to tie their own individual and full gameplay up. It was quite disappointing that she marked her alliance as weak at the end through her own actions when we all saw it was pretty solid most of the game. If she was really a believer in “the fire within” she maybe shouldn’t have coupled-up to carry her through the game until she started winning. If Maria went with her gut when she “saw fire” it’d have been more believable if she noticed it in Kenzie, Liz, Ben, & Charlie BEFORE final tribal. She saw it in Q - we all did. She should have seen it in all of her competitors if she used the excuse for a million dollar vote. Idk I’m rambling. Don’t troll me y’all lol Just my thoughts! I come in peace ✌️🖖

So many points you guys made were valid. Charlie could have won IF: 👇 1) He lied about his profession from day 1 and picked a more “humble” career and home-life / background story 2) He took Maria aside before tribal council on the night he knew she was leaving and opened up to her about the details of how and why he was working against her behind the scenes…and focused on flattering her throughout and respecting her enough that he didn’t want her to feel blindsided at the FTC or at Ponderosa about anything 3) He threw Kenzie under the bus at FTC - he should have exposed that the Tiff blindside was actually her idea and she was super mad when him and Maria cut her out of it. He wasn’t willing to undermine her or Ben’s games at FTC and that’s exactly what Dee and YamYam did at theirs. ------- I think this would have guaranteed the win for him but to really seal the deal, he could have also 👇 4) Begged Ben to put him in fire
❤ Stephen’s thesis that we were all robbed! The audience was robbed from seeing 2 of the final 4’s gameplay (Liz and Ben). With 90min episodes how is this not incredibly disappointing??
I'd say that a few jury members voted for Tony in Cagayan that didn't really care for him at the time of the vote and that his strategy is really what earned him the win.
I think the genius with Tony is that he understands who he can get away with backstabbing and still earning their vote vs who he needs to stay loyal and open with in order to gain their vote. He adapted and played 2 totally different games both times he won and it’s because he had a great intuition and a really good understanding of people and how to read them.
Stephen couldn't have said it better. Charlie played a great game (correct), Maria challenge robbed (correct), Kenzie robbed by being overshadowed by Maria pettiness (correct), Ben robbed not getting to make case (correct), not sure about the Liz one lmao. The challenge nonsense and Maria vote definitely overshadow the fact that Kenzie is a good winner who played a good game.
Great season guys! I could not wait for this episode to drop. A Survivor season just ain't complete without hearing from my favorite Know It Alls complete with the podcast theme song and a hearty WOOOO thrown in from Fishbach 😂😂 Love you guys. ❤️❤️
also something that no one is talking with the individual immunity challenge is that this being allowed could’ve allowed someone to sabotage somebody else’s chance at winning immunity. like Liz could’ve acted like she was helping Kenzie but instead tried to ruin Kenzie’s chances at winning immunity to help Maria or something. say her and Maria were in some secret alliance, she could’ve tried to sabotage Kenzie by taking a long time to run and get the puzzle or counted the wrong number on purpose to help Maria win immunity
Exactly. It’s such an important part of the end of the game that I’d say it’s even grounds for being ejected from the game entirely. It’s arguably worse than punching someone because losing the challenge could cost them a million dollars.
Charlie’s game is held to a completely different standard than Kenzie. He has to be a strategic mastermind, and it’s still not enough; meanwhile Kenzie doesn’t really have any strategic impact and all she has to do is get to the end.
Charlie got a lot of votes though. He was SO close to winning. You say this as if it was a blowout and he got no votes. People definitely respected his game! However, overall the majority respected Kenzies social game. This game is a social strategy game after all. Her social attitude and ability to make friends in the jury WAS her STRATEGY. It doesn’t make it any less valid that she was not actively scheming and conniving as much as Charlie during the game
@@jaykay1899 ok fair point. I am just bitter bc I so feel Charlie was robbed. Not discrediting Kenzie’s game, frankly if I ever get to play my game will be so much more like hers than Charlie lol.

Saying this, I totally will be looking for the 3 picks for each season and appreciate all the work he will be doing!! I’m sure all of us Survivor fans will too!! Isn’t that like a sports thing? I’m going to miss this duo over the summer sooo much :( The NFL, NBA (my team at least) and survivor are all in the off season I hate this time of year for tv hahah
I dunno why people have their feathers ruffled. Adam basically did this in Millenials V Gen X, just to a slightly lesser degree. Did people lose their minds then?
People love to be ahistorical when discussing Survivor because they can’t remember what happened in old seasons. Helping with information in challenges has been allowed for a long time. What’s not allowed is physical assistance (such as Albert picking up Sophie’s tiles). Liz operated in the grey area here because she utilized Kenzie’s piece to give her information, but she didn’t physically assist Kenzie in any way. It’s annoying to watch people fabricate hot takes to have something to talk about.
Also, winning fire-making is a terrible reason to vote for someone tbh. It doesn't have anything to do with their overall gameplay and was literally only invented so Ben Driebergen could win survivor HHH lol.
We’ve seen people help on individual immunity before! I wasn’t upset by it. I think the whole game is social, and you play the game you’re dealt. So yes don’t hate the players lol I think in the future they’ll edit it so it’s not a factor, but I think it’s all good on this round. As a player you can exploit flaws in the game.
This was the first new era season ive watched, before this ive only seen up to season 20. So im genuinely confused at all the hate that maria is getting. Obviously if you betray your closest ally they might not vote for you! And he should have won over the rest of the jury. I had been rooting for charlie but by the end i totally think kenzie played the better game. But again im used to the more old school approach which i think kenzie had.
Use the budget for new tribal council towards making it not the sanctuary for reward every time. Bring back more dynamic rewards since they have much better lighting to see what the art department does
On Brice and Wen they had Alex from the circle on and he said why 45 was a lot smoother 46 base on time. He said for 46 they didn’t know if they was gonna get approved for hr and 30 min episodes so basically they was winging it this season
Damn, Stephen is fixated on the challenge thing. I think people just don't care as the outcome was the same whether Liz used her own board or Kenzie's, which would have been well within the established rules.
Although Liz hadn't finished her own puzzle. I'm not even sure of having to actually go back, to count the number of holes in the plank were included in the instructions. It just seemed like Liz figured it out on her own. And it reminds me of a challenge from a previous season, when players had to retrace their own steps. It likely would have been better had Liz suggested to Kenzie, that she should go, and retrieve the plank herself.
I disagree that the resume era is over. To me, Charlie lost because he didn't have that stand out wow moment to point to that differentiates his game from the other two in the goat alliance. My read on the jury is that they felt the remaining three played a similar game especially since they came into FTC with Kenzie as the clear favourite. Kenzie had the advantage on the social game and the narrative of coming from a decimated tribe if strategy is held equal. So Charlie needed to go into FTC clearly differentiation his strategic chops. However since he played such a low key game and never made the big move (ex. Venus over Q), he was only able to convince three jury members that his strategy was worthy even to win over Kenzie's game.
ok, but what about when a team throws a challenge in order to evict a tribe member? If that is fair, then I feel it's fair to let go of your chance to win in order to get someone else out.
The big difference between what Kenzie and Liz did and what Ken and Adam did in MvGX is that Adam only told Ken when his ball was getting close to hitting the bottom, he never ACTUALLY went and threw Ken's ball back up for him while Ken continued to work on the puzzle
I disagree with the tribal council thing!! I think that little things like a slightly different tribal council, or a slightly different ancient voices, something to distinguish these seasons and players... That's my favorite thing about survivor.
