Also at Liverpool studying Psychology 😊✌️as a mature (29 year old and mama) student! I'm aiming to do my doctorate there also after to qualify as a clinical psyc! Good luck in your studies!
This video was so helpful!!! I just had my interview and I come from a very diverse area and i was wondering how diverse Liverpool was (like the uni in general and the medicine course too) Thanks xx
Thank you, I'm so glad! Ah that's so exciting! Yes I would say that Liverpool & the course is diverse, there's so many people from all over the country & overseas too. In general Liverpool is a very friendly city so you should feel welcome :) Keeping my fingers crossed that you get an offer!🤞🏼❤️
Hello, I am a mature student applying for medicine this year with young children, can you share you timetables for Liverpool please? Do you know anyone that travels from Manchester to Liverpool each day at all? wondering if its do-able as relocating isn't an option. Thank you :)
Hi I am from Manchester and go to Liverpool. So far a lot is online ! So potential for travel is possible and its not that far but could change in the near future :)
Hi Amber, can you be messaged directly? I'm interested in what you think about the PebblePad eportfolio you have used studying medicine at Liverpool. Does it provide data in a way that makes it easy to you to monitor your own progress and help you quickly decide the aspects of the course that need the most attention? I'm working on a project to improve how data is displayed. Thanks in advance.
Love this video!! I’m just wondering are your terms longer than most other peoples, and if they are what’s your plan with accommodation? I’m starting at liverpool for nursing in September (hopefully staying in greenbank) and I know some of my placements will run in to the summer so I’m not sure what to do about accommodation once the contract ends!💗xx
Thank you! So for the first year, medicine terms are the same as other courses however as you progress through the years the summer holidays will get shorter but by then we will live in student houses where the contracts usually run for the whole year so that's fine. Will your placements be in the summer in first year? If it's just in the later years then you'll be fine as you will have a student house with a longer contract but I'm honestly not sure how it works if it's when you're in greenbank sorry. Maybe try contacting the uni & asking them? Sorry I can't help too much💞
Hi, very useful video. I was wondering where you think most medical students at Liverpool stay? I’m going to be at Crown Place and I’m worrying that there won’t be many med students there
Hey! Everybody is very mixed around all the student accommodations in Liverpool, I wouldn't say that theres more medical students in any accom over another so you will be fine! Lots of the accommodations are close too so you'll easily be able to meet other medics even if you don't have any in your flat :) Good luck!
I wouldn't say that CBL is a massive part of the teaching, especially in year 1 but it does play a role in our learning of each system block. The majority of our teaching is through lectures and we will have one CBL project to do each block (every 3 weeks). We get 2 hours of CBL teaching per block and the rest of the work for it is independent. I think that is enough and I feel that it is taught well. I hope that helps! x
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Greenbank is so nice! The rooms & facilities are so modern and new (which does make it expensive)! The bus runs every 10 mins from greenbank into campus so it's very easy and it's a great place for the social side of uni too! I did a video reviewing my first term at uni where I touched on my accommodation so that might help :) xx
Had my interview on Monday! Thank you for this xx
That’s so exciting!! I hope it went well! & it’s okay, I’ve made some weekly vlogs on my channel which u might enjoy too :) xx

Is CBL a big part of the course? Would you say you get enough teaching with CBL?
