Easily the best overall catcher in baseball. Already a Hall of Famer too, even without the 3 WS Rings. Another guy I respect the utmost along with guys like Trout. A true franchise centerpiece and definitely a player to model your game after. Posey will go down as one of the greatest catchers ever.
Definitely think he has solidified HOF status, but I think it is because of the WS wins. What makes him great is he is a leader and a winner. Reminds me a lot of Jeter in terms of dominating his position over the course of his career and early post-season success. Posey still has a lot more of championship runs in him, along with Bumgarner. In an era where the MLB is putting all the hype to Harper, Trout, and Bryant, Posey and Bumgarner are taking home championships.
Joey Cox completely agree. Even if he didnt win 3 rings gotta remember the hof is decided for a player based on career credentials, dont get me wrong winning world series helps but still. Take a guy like griffey 630 hrs 2500 something hits and an mvp with a lifetime batting average of 285 and he never won a ring 🙌
Little bit of a down year offensively for Posey (power numbers especially) but he is still the best hitting backstop in the game and should collect his first of what should be a few Gold Gloves in 2016.
I'm a Cardinals fan, and most Cardinal fans think Yadi is way better then Posey but I respect good hitter but I cant chose between Yadi and Posey their either 2nd or 3rd in history.
