it's not yodeling, it's called Tahrir which is rooted in imitating song birds and it requires years of training to have a control on your gloat to do such delicate transitions.

This style of vocal runs is called *Tahreer* or melisma but it's unique to traditional Persian music which in itself has a whole complete set of numerous classes of doing it and modal systems called *Dastgahs* which you can study if you're interested.
Also his father late Maestro Mohammad Reza Shajarian is a renowned legend of this branch of Persian/Iranian music and Homayoun his son has extended his father's traditional legacy and created cool modern fusion melodies and compositions as well as also acing it in its traditional form.

Sanam is a god/goddess who is worshipped. A term of endearment for the beloved. Sanama means (oh (my) sanam) adressing the beloved, asking her to allow her heart to be one with his heart . So literal translation of the refain would be:
    Ba man: with me
    Sanama: o goddess
    Del,del,del :heart ×3
    Yek dele: one hearted
    Kon: make
In persian language the verb comes usually at the end of sentence.
The line is from a poem by Rumi. An Iranian poet who lives around 700_800 years ago
The guy next to him is also Sohrab Pournazeri and the instrument is called Kamanche

As everyone else has already said, those vocal runs are called "Tah'reer" in Iranian classical music. It meant to resemble birds singing and it is not unique to this singer. The uniqueness of this one is in it's quantity and quality! He holds it for about 15 seconds with such strength and precision that people usually don't believe it's possible until witnessing it in a live performance!

Thank you so much dear schnell
Iran's classical art music relies on both improvisation and composition, and is based on a series of modal scales and tunes including twelve Dastgahs and Avazes.[16] Compositions can vary immensely from start to finish, usually alternating between low, contemplative pieces and athletic displays of musicianship called tahrir. The common repertoire consists of more than 200 short melodic motions (guše), which are classified into seven modes (dastgāh). Two of these modes have secondary modes branching from them that are called āvāz. This whole body is called radif, of which there are several versions, each in accordance to the teachings of a particular master (ostād).
By the end of the Safavid Empire, more complex musical movements in 10, 14, and 16 beats stopped being performed. In the early Qajar era, the rhythmic cycles (osul) were replaced by a meter based on the qazal, and the maqam system of classification was reconstructed into the radif system. Today, rhythmic pieces are performed in beats of 2 to 7, with some exceptions. The reng are always in a 6/8 time frame.
A typical Iranian classical performance consists of five parts, namely pišdarāmad ("prelude"; a composed metric piece), čahārmezrāb (a fast, metric piece with a repeated rhythmic pattern), āvāz (the improvised central piece), tasnif (a composed metric song of classical poetry), and reng (a rhythmic closing composition). A performance forms a sort of suite. Unconventionally, these parts may be varied or omitted.
Iran's classical art music is vocal based, and the vocalist plays a crucial role, as he or she decides what mood to express and which dastgah relates to that mood. In many cases, the vocalist is also responsible for choosing the lyrics. If the performance requires a singer, the singer is accompanied by at least one wind or string instrument, and at least one type of percussion. There could be an ensemble of instruments, though the primary vocalist must maintain his or her role. In some tasnif songs, the musicians may accompany the singer by singing along several verses.
The incorporation of religious texts as lyrics has largely been replaced by the works of medieval Sufi poets, especially Hafez and Rumi.[citation needed]

In Persian music, the voice of the singer is not used only to convey meaning. Rather, it is a musical instrument. Which is more inspired by nature (such as the sound of nightingales, etc.). This method is very effective in creating excitement and arousing emotions.

I love your reaction when he hit those runs. Exactly what I expect everyone to do 🤣
You should react to his dad “ Mohammadreza Shajarian “
    He’s the maestro

He is son of Iran's most praised traditional classic vocalist Mohammad Reza Shajarian. Dear Schnell, besides of his superior technics of performing believe me some of vocals here are of multiple repetitions of
'del del yek dele" words that many singers get confused to repeat in regular intervals maybe NOONE can do this! I hope I could explain this correctly for you ...
