Dagon’s skeleton was inside of Kiryu, so Dagon’s ghost or spirit took control of Kiryu and I’m assuming since there were some sound effects and hints that Gigan was MUTO PRIME, and in Godzilla Aftershock ( a Monster Verse comic) it shows that MUTO PRIME killed Dagon, so Dagon took revenge and killed Gigan aka MUTO PRIME

Godzilla punched Destoroyah into the sun but does not direct contact with it. If that where to happen then the Big G would have been taken back to earth by Spacegodzilla and be healed by mothra or would have regrow them after some time. Most kajiu can heal really fast after a given amount of time. These kaijus are animals, but most civilizations use to worship them as gods. They aren't invincible and immortal, their just massive creatures that have adapted to the earth for millions of years. I don't expect the monsterverse to make Godzilla as durable or as strong as his previous incarnations.

Dagon is killed by Prime M.U.T.O the strongest M.U.T.O in M.U.T.O species. Edit: Kiryu is actually built around the skeleton seen in the 2014 Goji movie, of which the monster was called Dagon and was another member of Godzilla’s kind. And Gigan is built around the skeletal remains of Muto Prime. The flashback seen when Kiryu approached the broken Gigan is Dagon’s spirit recalling the time Muto Prime took him down. So Dagon overriding Kiryu’s system was an attempt to get revenge on Prime.

@@Gogeta6311 Destoroyah is a mortal being but its because of the rapid healing factor that would make any damage done to it would heal after awhile. Godzilla punched Destoroyah into the sun but does not direct contact with it. If that where to happen then the Big G would have been taken back to earth by Spacegodzilla and be healed by mothra or would have regrow them after some time. Most kajiu can heal really fast after a given amount of time. These kaijus are animals, but most civilizations use to worship them as gods. They aren't invincible and immortal, their just massive creatures that have adapted to the earth for millions of years. I don't expect the monsterverse to make Godzilla as durable or as strong as his previous incarnations.

That's why Kiryu had a flashback...it's Dagon (Godzilla's dead cousin) recognising the monster that killed him

@@EvolvedGodzillaEarth hes not, Godzilla and dagon were almost the same age when dagon died, a matured godzilla has the spines we see godzilla has now, but back then, both godzilla and dagon had the same back spines (2014 godzilla back spines), signaling both to be immature still young and growing godzilla's, if Dagon was godzilla's father he would not only be larger than godzilla 2014 (which we know is not true, he was smaller), but he would also have the dorsal spines we see godzilla 2019 have, which is when a member of the gojira species has finally finished growing and is now a full grown mature adult,
(this next part is my own theory) it's kinda like a peacock, peacocks slowly develop their huge tail feathers and the decorations and colors on them as they get closer to sexual maturity, godzilla grew his dorsal plates slowly as he got closer to sexual maturity, the last thing peacocks develop is the eyes and decorations on their tailfeathers, the last thing godzillas spines did was grow and branch out like leaves, its a sign that they are ready to mate, and thus fully grown and ready to continue the species (theory ends here).

btw Capi, for your information. Dagon is one of godzillas kind or it is called by that name has gone extint and only godzilla left in its kind so far as we see in the movies and comics. Dagon is older and bigger than godzilla and he maybe lived at the same time as the godzilla and there is even proofs that there are many more godzilla in the past on the earth. Dagon is killed by Prime M.U.T.O the strongest M.U.T.O in M.U.T.O species. Since the Dagon is dead and and it is recorded in history by the humans from long ago they know where the Dagon skeloton and exoskeloton is and they use it in Kiryu to make it stronger and that is why Kiryu AKA Mecha-Dagon has the memory of Dagon and can be control by the not so unconscious Dagon. They also use Radiation to power Kiryu. The evil Godzilla killing robot is really a robot but is combined with the Prime M.U.T.O DNA and some of the Prime M.U.T.O parts that killed Dagon and that is why Mecha-Dagon is taking his revenge back and finish of the Evil Robot Kaiju. Btw the Mecha-M.U.T.O has the Prime M.U.T.O memories and they can connect memories when their memories remember each other.
