It’s an C38-81 but yes a lot bigger than previous C30. We broke that trying a smaller pulley, it made huge power but just not durable enough for racing so went for bigger C38 but running slower. Price is similar so made sense to go large! It is outrageously fast but the power is very smooth I’m amazed how well it handles all that torque to be honest, no traction control. Untouchable at a rolling start as you can see!

@@DrPittenstein I think we chatted a long time ago - I’ve got the C30 / Honda K20A one in NZ. I’d love to see pics of yours all fitting ! I’ll reach out on Insta

I’ve learned a lot about Rotrex with this build. Stock Honda K20 makes more power than Duratec 2.5 so doesn’t need as much boost. C38s don’t spin as fast and are geared differently so power was worse when we it first tried it. Going well now but we’re working it quite hard at 83,000rpm out of a max 90,000. Ideally need to uprate the base engine for more power and slow the blower down a bit. You can’t rebuild a Rotrex once they break you just chuck them away and fit a new one.

All these people driving supercars in city centres are really missing out. Driving in the Alps is great as is the Nurburgring but nothing on four wheels compares to racing a really fast Seven. I would like to try a Radical though...
