The second iteration of Red Bull Golden Letters started off with over 100 hopeful qualifiers and 8 invited professionals. After many matches and multiple hours of high-level Tekken 7, we were left with two Korean legends of the game: Knee & JDCR. Watch these two titans’ final clash on the centre stage at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere London.

JDCR, despite losing in the Grand Finals, carried this whole tournament!
When all of the other legends were getting eliminated (Chikurin, Anakin, AyoRichie, Super Akouma, K-Wiss), JDCR took down the players who took down those titans.
For example, when HK Jr beat Joka and Knee (in the same tournament,. which is insane!) JDCR was the one to send HK Jr. to losers.
And in Losers Finals, Knee got his revenge against HK Jr. with the Feng pick.
The highlight of this tournament is 100% JDCR. He stayed solid the entire time.
Yes, Knee and JDCR have a long history and by now, Knee knows JDCR's strategies so it was a no-brainer who would win. But JDCR is the highlight of this tournament. A true Tekken Legend.
(We all know Knee is the GOAT, but I have to point out that JDCR took the candle on this one.)
JDCR is too honest and gigachad for this game. I would really like to see him use more OP characters like Feng, Zafina etc.

JDCR literally uses Feng in tournament and still lost to Knee. It seems like people just can’t give credit where it’s due.
@@G-R-IE-IE-D jdcr doesn’t main Feng, he “uses” him and look how far it’s gotten him. If you main a character you bring out its full potential, you don’t just pick that character and sweep the whole tourney, that would be ignorant

Always can see how personal it is between these two when they face off ! Pure rivalry at its best
Jdcr failed to close out so many rounds whenever he had the advantage.

i know how much toxic feng can get even though im only an emperor rank, but you can feel JDCR doubting himself whenever he and knee both has low hp bar .
that moment of hesitation can be exploited by knee's feng quite consistently and whenever Feng start the pressure it's hard to comeback.
example the 18:10 section is when the momentum shift
even at 19:36 when he sees a big whiff, usually JDCR will punish it hard (sometimes with dark uppercut) but he just stands around
dont get me wrong, i also wanted JD to win this but his performance here is not as sharp as usual

If arslan can beat knee with kazumi i think jdcr can too, but he needs to be able to switch his playstyle in between rounds like arslan he can switch from agressive to passive too quick.

I’m a fan of both these cats and even I didn’t want this to go this way. This was hard to watch at some points. Even so all of you that are saying Knee won solely because of Feng you haven’t been watching their recent matches against each other.

There are Pakistani players who can wreck Knee. Dawood wrecked Knee at TGU. There are other Pakistani players who can wreck Knee if given the chance.

Both are damn good players period. I feel sad for JDCR. His Dragunov game is good but dragunov’s pokes are nerfed. Specifically D2. Jdcr’s Fahk gameplay is super good. He should use OP characters like Fahk.
Jdcr is just too loyal. He too realises they nerfed Dragunov too much but man is just too connected to him lol

I get that they're playing on a higher level than literally everyone at the scene or in this comment section.
But JDCR played like a turtle in the shell against a man with a hammer there, that was hard to watch.
You cant press anything against feng man, b1 counter hit to shoulder for 50 plus damage (12 frame ch safe on-block), feng's punch parry can start a combo, db3+d2 insane lows unsee-able, fast, dealt good damage. And his mids is insane too, df 1+2 plus frame on block???? Dealt good damage, good df 1 ,df4. Insane wall combo without any execution, low risk yet really high reward character.
feng frames are very fast any wrong input and you fail to win the exchange of blows can lead to counter hit launcher with feng you cant do trigger spam button happy to it. so then again pro level is different on green rank levels.

@@BK-ff7or Steve is a good counterpick against Feng. JDCR AK has beaten Knee's Steve, DVJ, Bryan, Zafina and Lidia. At TK7 his AK has not lost to his Steve . It is just his Geese and Feng is giving JDCR AK a hard time.
@@BK-ff7or off-day for jdcr i think but at least steve have the evasion and some of the best counter hit moves in the game to fight back plus the best jab poke with flicker stance, ye feng punch counter could be a pain in the ass but they are pros so they know how to play around it.

Feng needs to be tuned down a bit. I do not mind seeing either player wins (I like them both) but I would like to see some display of skill varieties. The final was a bit too boring to watch.

How can people sit on their cheeto dusted fingers and constantly whine about jdcr being a worst player? Feng is sitting on top of the tier list proclaimed by numerous pros important mention being Knee himself. Feng's defense is way too strong and the pressure that comes with facing a character like him in the hands of Knee will cause players to not take risks quite as often. It's not illegal to dislike the match that took place here because there was simply no hype, no build up, no aggressiveness from both players, just a one sided poking match. As an avid spectator of Tekken 7 for years now, this wasn't good ass tekken, it was okay at best but so boring at times to watch. Also no dumb ass replies like "JDCR Feng vs Knee Steve" because you can't compare due to character mastery. Nobody can pick up an OP character and dominate without making them their main.
Nobody is really upset at JDCR for not being better. The reality is that Knee has been beating JDCR before even picking Feng. The only reason there’s this back and forth is because people are acting like Knee is only winning “because” of Feng. When Knee beat JDCR Fahkumram with Bryan none of this energy was there.
@@G-R-IE-IE-D fahkumram and bryan are both hype and high risk characters and fahk was nerfed when that match too place, meanwhile Feng is low risk high reward all the way, meaning for a long time spectator, all you see is a one way pummeling due to the overwhelming advantages Feng possesses. People comment in other videos with Knee using Feng vsing other players shared the same sentiment it’s not exclusive to jdcr.

Knee "mains" most characters which is exactly why he is better than 99% of players. Noone is stopping the other players from practising other characters apart from their usual main.

When the best players do their best performance like at the UFC ranking match, it becomes a boring game for beginners to watch. When the top tier player(JDCR) loses without doing nothing that's because the opponent did way better.

my god knee using feng is so toxic and unfair its like a fight between corrupt politican and an honest normal working citizen class with a shift from 8 to 5 but both of them must earn same salary if they wish their lives to be saved. i would be extra salty if i am on jdcr situation.. but that is tekken they keep on nerfing and buffing characters no consistency.

@@zackfair1868 Knee's Steve lost to Atif's Feng 5-0 in ft5. Steve is not the reason Knee won at all, Knee is just better than JDCR in defensive playstyle. Even JDCR's OP Fahk in before the patch lose to Knee Bryan badly. It doesn't matter what character JDCR pick, Knee just don't lose against Korean defensive playstyle.

Proposed Feng Nerfs:
Ws1: -3 on block
Db3: -1 on normal hit, CH no change
B4: less tracking
D2: CH property changed to toe stun
B1: slow recovery on block for both players
Uf2: less evasive, no CH property
That’s all. Take away the oppressive and unfair BS but keep him strong.
These tools have been the same since T5, all these tools were the same during s1, S2, S3...

Knee and JDCR are 2 of the most boring Tekken players ever. Watching them play is only ever interesting when they are playing against an interesting player. Watching them play against each other is the height of snow fest.
