I am so happy to see someone with my skintone getting pretty Korean make-up! Renee is so bubbly and cute this video is just so refreshing. PSA FOR THE DARKSIN GIRLIES ATTEMPTING KOREAN MAKE-UP: from one dark chick to another, always have a light shade of concealer to prime your eye/lid if you want colors to show up; also NEVAH color match to the outskirts of you face, they likely are darker due to our natural hyperpigmentation. It is so much better to have a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your overall face or that matches the center of your face. Also its better to use lighter shades and gentle colors in the center to draw attention to your beautiful facial features if you want a natural look. Lastly, dont be discouraged of your makeup doesnt look exactly like it would on someone with a lighter skintone, aim for a certain vibe instead of copying exactly, for example using certain shades of purple instead of bright pink because some shades of purple look pink on our skintone. You may need to adjust the colors you use to get a certain vibe because of color theory! Hope this helps🫶🏾

Instead of concealer, use actual eyeshadow primer that has a white or light base, that’s what bases are for and they make your eye show last longer, look better, and give better colour payoff

But personally, I've used eye primer before and it works great if you want super bright colors but in the case of more natural Korean makeup that doesn't look too overpowering on our skin tone it's better to use a light concealer so your eyes don't come out pasty and the colors blend naturally into your skin tone. This is only because most primers are white and can look awkward, also some people can't afford to buy multiple products that can only be used for one thing whereas a bright fill coverage concealer can be used for many things. Your suggestion is great for those who want super bright color payoff though!
So slay that you chose a White guy, Hispanic girl and a Black girl so we can see ourselves in them a little. If you continue these it’d be nice to see as many types of people as possible so we can take a bit of your advice for ourselves :) so far all these videos have been helpful to me in different ways 💕

Nah you definitely know what you're talking about with the colors stuff! Because I have similar coloring to her (my undertone is more olive though) and I'm a light spring. I feel a lot of stylists tend to throw us Black girls into the autumn/winter category because... melanin, lol. 😅
That's what I was thinking. They saw darker skin and didn't know how to deal with it, so they threw all the dark dull colors at her.

Righttt and the last girl (cool toned) was super helpful too because I feel like most Hispanic people get automatically called warm toned. I hope he keeps doing this with all different types of people 💕

The room lighting is very important when doing these color matches. Sometimes the colors I feel can change on some people slightly depending on if they are in moderate to dim lighting as opposed to bright/natural light.

I gotta say I love the interaction you have had with them in all your videos and I was so happily surprised you had disposables ❤ and above all base products for her skin tone.
