I was using combat extended and my Gun locker and ammo storage was near bunks so they could easily grab weapons and ammo if needed. It caught fire do to a battery short circuit and it all ammo racked including the two nuclear warheads i had, My base was evaporated. My colonist turned to dust
I've never seen a vtuber play it more than a couple streams, but there have been plenty who have picked it up -- I know Calli, Mumei, and Gura from Holo have done it, and Matara Kan specifically loves the game but mostly just likes to watch other people play it.

Rimworld is the kind of game where you start off like "I want to be a good survivor" then after the first year you have multiple slaves working in the mines, at least when they aren't being used as your sacrificial melee defense line...
Honestly slaves are kinda mid, their only advantages are easier to maintain mood, and less market value, but you have to deal with less work speed and uprisings, and the best moment to make an uprising is of course when you are 1 tile away from power armored cyborg with persona zeushammer.

@@XenonPrimeSBSV With 50% consiousness and 80% global work speed slave is good as dead. Really, slave problem is that if they are expandable, you have to constantly manage new ones, only to get a cleaning\hauling pawn, and if slave is good, its way better as colonist.

As a player who has over 280 hours of playtime in rimworld (this is praticlly bare minimum for a player who knows the game now), there are 9 suggestions I would recomend if you play on defult settings and with no spesific mods. This will be kinda useful if you want to play again Suggestion 1: Don't make a mountain base due to bug infestation which can ruin your run within minutes if your not careful (Good for deffense though and if your good in the game) Suggestion 2: Always build a 11x11 base for both easy room sortment and storage Suggestion 3: Always have your people's specialties set to 1, there is a scale that is from 1 to 5 and 1 is top priority and 5 is don't give a damn Suggestion 4: If your character starts with a legendary clothing no matter what it is, it has better protection than some amour with either poor or even normal, so keep it. Suggestion 5: Always adde a death coridoor and make a extra door for yourself to escape if needed, The death coridoor can be filled with traps forcing enemies to walk down that pathway, make the doorway a long stone/metal zig-zag pathway with doors that your characters can walk straight down from to replace used traps, remember that traps will sometimes activate on allies as well as traders(always use wood for traps, easier to be replaced) Suggestion 6: Always make your allies live in a 3x3 room with one bed, one cabinate for extra comfort, a 2x1 table, a chair, lighes/tourches, and a airconditioner instead of vents since in the summer it will be very hot, making them sweat alot and decreasing their happiness bar. Tourches will increase the heat in the room it is in and constantly need to replace with wood, it's a very waste for wood despite the almost finite amount of wood Suggestion 7: When it comes to deal with electronics, Always have your windmills spread apart, Solar panels can be placed next to eachother, and a water wheel is only possible to be placed in a river. You also want to place your batteries apart from eachother and a bit away from the settlements, because incase of a lightling strike and it has hit one of the batteries and caused a fire and damadging the battery too much or you have too much energy being produce and you can't contain all those energy, It will expload and blow up a decent chunk of your base. Suggestion 8: always build multiple manufator devices such as cooking stations, reserch bench, or even just butchering tables, buld atleast 2 to 3 so multiple people can be working on it. Suggestion 9: Make a prision just incase you want more people. If a raider has raided you and you have not killed him yet, don't kill him, instead you can take him into your own made prision. After you capture them and treat them, make your highest social stat personal and press "Reduce Resistance" it makes your allies try to convince the prisioner to abonded his own faction and join yours, after the resistance has reached zero, you can press "Recruit" and he/she will be part of your faction, or you can just sell them off to slavery or use them to increase the relationship between faction so they don't attack you and you can trade and ask them for reinforfcements with a special device if you have a good relations with them.
Who gave the newbie access to the Prepare Carefully mod? You gotta play vanilla for a bit before you start screwing everything up with the mods. Ah, well, it's just a warcrime simulater after all; I'm sure she'll be fine. Narrator: "She was not, in fact, fine."
6:27 I'm impressed Numi was able to get a stack of cloth out of dev mode 30 minutes into the game. That item list hits you like a jumpscare when you are on a modded build.
It will be interesting to see what happens when one of them get a serious injury and she starts playing "organ shopping simulator" with anyone they capture. Because you know, Rimworld.
Organ harvesting can be fun for a while, but it's not always an option. i.e. if your ideology disapproves, then it can be some huge mood hits. Obvs one can just build (or dev edit) an ideology to suit. After way too many hours in-game though, I like to hit random everything and go with the hand I'm dealt. Random location, accept the initially rolled pawns without choosing or editing, and ofc randomize the ideology and genes. It's forced me to build differently for each run, sometimes in ways I would never choose on my own initiative.
@dakaodo it's a great way to get cash though, since people often buy them. Usually the Empire or exotic traders. As far as ideology, I've made that mistake. Harvested 20 people and suddenly my whole society has -50 mood for 15 days or something dumb
