California, welcome to European trains! I have been riding the ODEG operated Stadler KISS2 for the past 10 years in Germany and just love them. The only downside to them are the seats, which have become rock hard over the years. Caltrain's KISS units are definitely an improvement over the older KISS units.
Dude, what are you talking about. BART has existed for years and it replaced a massive system of interurbans. The Bay Area has never not had electric regional rail since it was introduced in the late 19th century. LA has had a longer break without electric regional rail, but they've also brought back a good chunk of it since the 80s. You're thinking of Texas, Arizona, Florida, etc.
Eric, this was obviously a Mail Run trip, stopping everywhere (even places I didn’t know it stopped). I enjoyed the trip nonetheless and wonder how long it took you to get to San Antonio? Thanks for posting.
Why do Bay Area transit system operators insist on SO MANY F'in ANNOUNCEMENTS??? It really adds a lot of unnecessary noise and stress to commutes. They treat us like children.

love it!
I wonder what all the drivers stopped behind the gates were thinking. What things were you trying to hide with those black lines?
Lucky you riding the New CalTrain
I didn’t understand the conductor’s instructions occasionally about the last car?
My train went right past yours! I was on 241.
I saw your train passing by mine at Redwood City.
This whole soft launch thing on 8/11 was supposed to be a surprise, but railfanners ruined it on Reddit and other places
8/11 💀💀💀
@@lucaleiva6021 ?? Did it give a 9/11 reference? ☠️
They got their info from caltrain conductors lol, dont blame them
@@lalakerspro and then went to post it on Reddit saying that
Dude show us around the train man
I wanna know what the upper deck looks like cuz here in Europe the space is very restricted for luggage
Californians finally getting commuter rail acceleration. Took them long enough
Oh we've had commuter rail acceleration for decades, just not standard gauge.
