The best thing about this game is how free form it is tbh. You can airdash out of assists and supers in midair to continue the combo. Not only that, you can block at anytime during an airdash, and if someone hits your airdash block, you can airdash again.
NihongoGamer It’s kind of wild, this game, and then there’s an elemental system that gives you specific advantages over different elements as well as different effects that applies to all characters and assists. Stacking the same element consecutively stacks the effect and adds a damage multiplier that goes up to double damage. Fire does dot damage, Wind regenerates health, Ice gives more hitstun, and neutral is nothing. Neutral assists don’t have any elemental effects, but neutral characters can. Koume gets multiple elements built into her moves, while Yamaneko Arthur can actually change elements on the fly by calling an elemental assist she has with hers and reloading bullets during it, so that you have a stock to spend. Some other elemental characters do that too, but it’s more prominent with Yamaneko.
Thanks for the video on this. I randomly came by this game as it's on sale on Humble and I've been buying quite a few fighting games lately for my Switch and Steam Deck. For under 10 bucks I think I'm gonna grab this before the sale ends. Thanks for showing off the game and talking about it.
I imported this for the PS4 from Japan like a year and a half ago. There was a pretty big community back then playing this. I loved every minute I spent with this game. My favorite support move is "Nice Chin Chins!" Unfortunately this game is censored on Steam. Glad I got the PS4 version.
I got this game on Steam recently, it's my fave fighting game ATM, maybe even better than SF3 third strike. And the story is written by Kamachi Kazuma, the dude who wrote A Certain magical index and it's many MANY spin offs including a certain scientific Railgun and a certain scientific accelerator
me when I found this game: "ooh..... I want this game cuz Iori looks amazing in here, but I can't justify the full price cuz I don't actually sit and play fighting games for hours" me now that the game is on sale for $12 "oooooooh...... I still want it but I'm still afraid it'll just collect dust" me at the start of this vid "I can campaign to make Iori the King of Britain? LOL I'm almost sold" me at the middle of this video: "I didn't care about any of the other characters before this, but wow they look REALLY cool and I would actually play some of them, like vacuum girl, lucky chloe, and the ice girl with the giant" thanks for the vid!
@@Sushi-Katana It's still a good, clean fighting game with an assist system that makes for a great introduction to assist fighters(MvC, DBFZ, Skullgirls). And one of those assists is Ono from High Score Girl kicking an arcade cabinet into your opponent. That assist alone is worth the $9.99 on Steam.
@@DigiMatt52 Yeah I hate all those games...and the Steam version has trash netcode. With that said, I ended up trying it and the game is fire, but the right purchase was the PSN import. Its the only version playable online. Parsec is cool but I didn't wanna make that the standard for this game.

its the best fg released in the last 2 years imo. but I tend to prefer team arcana/examu's works over asw, french bread, etc. the net code is pretty mediocre, but it's better on ps4 than pc for some reasons(have played the exact same players on both)
Million arthur's a really good fighting game but everything outside of the gameplay kinda sucks or is really bad unfortunately, especially on pc where netplay just sometimes doesn't work
@@acheneniwae2362 They altered an assist move where anime girl rushes at opponent, rubs their crotch and says "nice chinchin". The move can be restored to it's original glory by just swapping a file in the installation folder.
NihongoGamer is playing Japanese release, so it's uncensored. You can see the assist in question at 4:55, in global release the anime girl just runs into the opponent as a static JPG.
From my understanding of the Japanese market, they basically ONLY play on ps4 & switch and completely ignore pc & xbox for gaming. Seriously, xbox one x is the most powerful console ever produced, and Microsoft's past systems have traditionally been superior to their Sony counterparts. Not to mention a mid-range pc easily surpasses any console technologically. Yet Japanese apparently don't care and stay confined to their closed Sony & Nintendo ecosystem.
I think there's also a lot of other factors. Xbox was always a commercial failure in Japan since the first xbox (theres a great youtube documentary about it , cant remember the name off the top of my head). Also, keep in mind that many japanese homes are very small with few rooms, to the point that many dont have a TV or have just a single monitor/laptop, and a full pc tower with peripherals would take up too much space. Also, there's the fact that Arcades are still a thing in japan, and also meeting to play in-person is much more popular than playing online. And finally, there's the fact that japanese tend to support their own products and brand and not things that are made by "gaijin" , hence the bigger sucess of Sony & Nintendo. I'm not saying what they are doing is good or bad, im just saying why i think it is that way.

To my knowledge million Arthur is a game franchise, this is a fighting game spin off.

NihongoGamer is a man with a very nice chinchin for making a video on this game.

I have this on steam already
5:00 wish they hadn't censored it in the English release, RIP nice chinchin.
If you buy it on steam you can mod it back in pretty easily
Have this game love it
