Now in Copilot Pro there is "Notebook", which has a context window of 18000

11 months passed since uploading this video, let me ask it again, Which one is suitable for coding !?
GPT 4o vs Copilot Pro vs Claude Pro vs Cursor Pro?
They are mostly in the same price range, so which one to choose?

CoPilot is AWESOME for learning a new framework, or referencing documentation to get yourself un-stuck quickly while working on projects.

The context window is *huge*. I was tempted to switch to Claude before GPT-4 released the 128k context window last fall (7:55). I like being able to cut-and-past 2-3 files and ask it to generate another that leverages the types & functions from what I cut-and-pasted. Then I can use the same chat for a few hours to improve the chance that it remembers a useful function it used before. However I expected copilot to be better because of its VS Code integration...but maybe this has changed since it became more of a Microsoft product than a Github product.

Great video! And as a Co-pilot enjoyer I agree it has limits and bugs so I think you werre perfectly fair and gives some reason for people to still use ChatGPT over Co-Pilot.

Have you made a video about that?

What do you think about no code as a starter for an MVP just to get the ball rolling then create something more specialized with your own proprietary code as your company gets bigger?

    • @Corbin_Brown
      @Corbin_Brown  11 місяців тому +2

I would say, long term, invest in learning how to build from scratch. At first, this may seem more difficult, but the payoff will be much larger long term.
This market is only around 9 months old now; therefore, take the time to begin now to learn how to code and leverage ChatGPT to help.
It took me 3 months and 1,000+ hours to build my MVP for Tubestamp.
Now this year, it has become clear to me how to add a bunch of value and keep growing.

This video is biased and misleading. It does not provide a fair and objective comparison of ChatGPT and Copilot Pro. It only shows the cases where ChatGPT performs better, but ignores the cases where Copilot Pro excels. It also does not mention the limitations and drawbacks of ChatGPT, such as its lack of integration with IDEs, its inconsistency and unreliability in code generation, and its potential ethical and legal issues. On the other hand, it downplays the advantages and features of Copilot Pro, such as its faster and more stable performance, its compatibility with Microsoft 365 apps, and its ability to create images with AI. This video is clearly trying to promote ChatGPT over Copilot Pro, without giving the viewers a balanced and informed perspective. I suggest you do your own research and try both tools yourself before making a decision. Don’t trust this video. It is not a credible source of information.

This is purely a programming capability comparison though. Granted it is on React and Firebase, but still it is a specific use case.

I honestly prefer Copilot than Chatgpt:
    1. With copilot I can browse side by side on Edge browser and use copilot at same time on the right side.
    2. Long context is good & bad for programming. Good because it remembers stuff. Bad because it can make assumptions overtime. Better ask it to generate some snippets than an entire page. I work in Python.
    3. I can quickly land on a webpage and ask Copilot to get me a summary which doing on Chatgpt take few more steps.
    4. Tones on Copilot gives me more freedom choosing type of responded on how to be often at times w/o asking it manually to set tone.
    5. I'm a researcher, so often times I need my AI assistant to quote me references based on which it is saying on the fly.

I noticed that as well... Then he goes on to say if you are going to use chat gpt please learn how to use it as he doesnt understand something as simple as temperatures and picks precise to get the worst output. I personally would say both are junk, and anyone who wants to code with ai seriously should use the API. But value for 20/month copilot is pretty dang nice if you use the office suite for work. Copilot can access content and context through Microsoft Graph, including user documents, emails, calendar, chats, meetings, and contacts which he also misstated in this video. People just drop crap on youtube without wanting to spend 5 min researching the topic.

@@Desmond-Dark Yes, when you tune them for your use case they do much MUCH better. Also if there is an option of Creative vs Precise you always want to use Creative. Well at least for coding.

Do you think there's any purpose to making a GPT profile specifically for coding given the sunshine and cross memory systems going on (and limits on custom instructions).

The code instruction: "Begin with a one-sentence summary of the main goal for clarity. I appreciate concise, step-by-step instructions tailored to the specific code or files I'm currently working on. Please provide code snippets or configurations that are directly relevant to Visual Studio Code, macOS, React, Firebase. When referencing external resources or suggesting solutions, consider the context provided about my project, its current state, expanded functionalities, and Firebase integrations. Before providing any step-by-step instructions, first ask for clarification on the specific updates or changes I'd like to make. Avoid making assumptions about installed packages or completed steps unless explicitly mentioned."
