I got the blasted version of this watch on bracelet last year and love it. The classic skin diver case wears so comfortably on my 6.5 inch wrist, and I love the no-date dial with baton indices that distinguishes it from other 1521s. The lume is very bright and Squale judged its color perfectly IMO -- it looks retro but not over-the-top fauxtina'd. For me this is a nearly perfect tool-y, vintage-y dive watch.
I can’t wait to get it sized up and on the wrist. 1521 case is one of the best, captive bezel, great action, outstanding lume, and killer bracelet. Plus scaled back branding. I love it. I’ll be doing vid soon on first impressions and why it’s taking me so long to size up. Lastly, you don’t have a thing if it don’t have that bling. 🪩
This is my favorite Squale-with the baton indexes. I prefer the bead blasted finish to the shininess on this one. The curved lugs are fantastic. It’s between this model and the Seiko SPB451 for my next major purchase. Look forward to your full review
I have the blasted one with blue dial. It's one of my favorite watches. The legendary Squale case is paired with that orange minute hand that pops from all the way across the room! Also, you can't go wrong with Exquisite Timepieces!
Squale really isn’t special enough to ask $1,350 of their watches. They’re practically one step above a micro brand, with similar quality. Watch prices are stupid now, especially since their functionality hasn’t changed. It tells time and looks good

What makes the 1521 so cool is because of it’s case design it is immediately recognizable. Sexy diver for sure. 😊
Cant go wrong with a Squale 1521. I love my Ocean Blue with bead blasted case on a vintage leather strap.

Nice buy Mike, I gave up my bead blasted one with hopes of buying the blingy version. It looks awesome, especially with that bracelet.
Thanks Ed.
Squaleeeeeeeeeee!

Great bezel sound. thanks Rob
I like the old school clasps .

What a beauty!!!
If you prefer a brushed finish take a look at the 1521 chronofactum x uhrforum UCB 3H Bund version
Hi Rob, glad to see you improve in removing the plastic film 😋
Too shiny for me but nice piece !
Very shiny.
Love the new bracelets but surprised they didn’t go with a better clasp.
Nice but I still prefer the blasted finished one. I would love one of those
My eyes!!!!

That clasp is unacceptable
Looks like a Momentum SQ30 and Citizen Aqualand had a deformed, overpriced baby.
