I had four children in four years. When the eldest was only eight years old, their older cousins told them that there was no such thing as Father Christmas that their mum and dad bought everything. I was enraged because their family obviously you can’t really make too much fuss. I just thought it was the saddest thing. XXX

Hi Suzy, lovely memories with your nanny ❤ I am 51 so my memories are really in the 80s my mom did the same for me and they are special memories she is 85 now and I love to hear of her childhood memories her Christmas was so less materialistic as war years but love to hear how she made paperchains and decorations for the tree….
