The engine in this bike is absolutely fantastic. The sound is intoxicating and yes you need to rev it but that's loads of fun for me anyway. I'd put this engine up against any in its class for smoothness and willingness. I personally have no issues taking it on journeys. Super fun bike. Probably best bank for the buck in its class especially if you pick up a leftover model year. Great review 👍
I’m currently using the American version (if there’s any difference). I like all that it has to offer and I get a great experience from its “silky smooth engine and the gears seem a bit stiff to me, a little “laggish”. Few of any other complaints. I’m getting a baggage package installed shortly to suit my own purposes in riding. Thanks for the clear and crisp review.
Go now, you can get a deal on the GSX-S, but it won't happen on the Kaw........after fees, taxes, interest paid, I'll still be $1000 under msrp.....go now I was thinking I wanted 21 kaw Z900, but we talked prices.....he wanted money coming in now
I have this exact bike and color. Love it. Great value for the dollar. Looks great. Performs great. Only thing I don’t like is the very bottom of the throttle is a little snatchy, a little too on/off, it unsettles the bike...I’m a motocross racer so it’s not a matter of throttle control...I’ve gotten used to it and it’s only a thing at slow speed turning but that’s my only real complaint. The bike gets compliments regularly and it’s fast. Oh one other thing, the helmet lock design is dumb but don’t use it much anyway.
I didn't expect to like it and it won me around. If I was in the market for a bike in that segment, it'd definitely be a strong contender. I didn't notice the low-down snatchy throttle, but my personal bike is a Ducati Multistrada and I had a KTM Superduke before that - both of which are V twins and a pain in the arse at low revs!
@@rj9617 Other helmet locks I’ve seen are on the frame of the bike. You hook the helmet on a piece under the seat and the helmet naturally hangs from its strap and you put the seat back on to block access to remove it. On this one the helmet hang point is on the seat itself and you have to awkwardly hang the helmet from the piece you removed from the bike (the seat) and hope your helmet doesn’t fall off and hit the ground as you awkwardly try to put the seat back on with the helmet(s) hanging from it.
I have this bike the suspension is harsh over rough pavement especially mid corner and unsettles the bike.apart from that really good fun bike that you can use more of the engine and really good on gas.great value bike, well recommended.
Question. Does the Gsx-s have engine vibration as the revs climbed? I have a new 2023 and the higher the revs the more vibration that comes through the bars, the seat, the foot pegs and the gas tank. Is this normal? My mirrors are blurry at any rpm above about 4-5k too.
I picked one this past July, 1200 flawless miles so far. Currently stored for winter. Lost my wallet down the hole too...LOL. Now I wrap all my stuff in small towels. Next mod will be bar back riser for sure, and fatter pegs. Hard to get parts in USA still though. Just mostly amazon china stuff, with long shipping wait.
My knees are fine - I like the riding position - focused but not penurious. Surprised, as my other bike is a hypermotard. The seat is the limiting factor so far (2 -3 hours) - hope to build a tolerance. Is there such a thing as butt callouses - I'd like to get some. First I4, and I am loving this machine. And yeah - a way better suspension than the stock duc (vintage 2013). When Ducati cuts a corner, they really cut a corner.
I'd like to add to the mirrors; I have a GSX-S750Z and included in the tool bag, are wrenches to adjust the mirrors more dramatically. Also, is this not the "Z?" Honestly not sure of the difference.
Great video AWESOME VIDEO Can you please move the mic. Like on the side because its kinda annoying I really hope you dont take this the wrong way but yeah i love this
I used to own a 2002 ZX6R, although there was a gap of many years between riding that and testing this Suzuki! Depends what you're looking for? The GSX-S750 is a very good bike and I think you'd find it a more cultured ride than your ZX.
@@MotoringNomad I'm torn between a Z900 and a GSXS750. I'm leaning a little more towards the Kawi because of the extra horsepower and i like the look slightly more.
Should I consider this than the MT07? Not for commuting but mainly for leisure riding and little touring maybe. Your inputs will be appreciated, thanks!
@@anxiousappliance I just traded my gsxs 750 in on a KATANA1000. the gsxs 750 is junk. bad shocks, bad forks, no power. very heavy. @@thatstheguy07 I'm 6'4 as well. I've heard other peeps say this bike is bad for tall riders. I plan on mounting this and the 1000 GSXS to see switch fits better
This was my first street bike. I have years of dirt experience, though. I agree with Nomad, but just know that it does have a lot more power than a smaller displacement bike which equates to more devastating results from a beginner accident. Remember, this bike weighs 480lbs (213). Lots of potential to drop it, too. Once it's rolling and you have good clutch control, this bike rides like butter.
just got mine a few weeks ago( the exact bike. white GSX-S750Z with ABS).... NOT a good bike. it's very SLOW on the low end. cruising at 5,000 RPM the damn thing vibrates the shit out of your hands. cornering SUCKS BALLS. I drive the same roads everyday. my old 2018 SV650 could take the curves at 70MPH PLUS. the S750 likes the curves around 60 - 65MPH. the GSX-S750 has a sputter in low RPMs(under 4,000), it smooths out over that. I have NOT experienced the BOOST in torque with RPMs over 5,000. don't get me wrong it'll hit 100MPH no problem, there was no noticeable BOOST of power. if you want a good bike,, buy something else.. Suzuki let us down with this one.
@casparow123thank you, I was lucky to find a end of the year deal, it is just that I have to go 600 km to pick up the bike, which is worth the discount I received .
@casparow123 I live in Canada here in my province a 2020 brand new sell for $9400 and up plus 13% tax , I got mine brand new for $8000 plus %13 tax, and I didn’t negotiate on the price, because it was the lowest I could find, I only got free frame slider on top, also here Suzuki offer 5 year free warranty with their last year Model.
Had mine 28 months. Done 11,000 miles. Still love every minute on it.
Thanks for sharing

In some countries the “Z” means with it without ABS. Amazing for 2020 where ABS is automatic for just about everything.

It's such an obvious design flaw, that I can't believe it hasn't been fixed (given how simple a fix would be!).
