It seems that the daily Kaleidoscope uploads have perhaps ceased, at least for now. It is a shame if so. I hope they return, there are some golden nuggets on this channel.
Hope that whoever has been uploading these clips is OK, it seems a bit unusual to just stop without notice. This channel was always the first thing I checked each morning, I will miss it greatly.
Only a couple of those, 'new comedies', in that trailer went anywhere. 'Open All Hours', being the exception as that was already established. 'Hi-De-Hi', being the outstanding one, with, 'Solo', and, 'Seconds Out', managing to have a couple of series each. 'Coming Home', and, 'Partners', only managing the 1.
There were always sitcoms that would last one series and fail. The idea then was to try as many new sitcoms as possible and see which ones worked. Obviously Hi De Hi was the big hit in 1981, running until 1988 and achieving 16 million viewers.

Sit-coms that have been lost in the mists of time...

The BBC 1 continuity announcer was Malcolm Eynon.

A fantastic crop of actors though, even in the ones which didn't make it.

So this is the end of the daily vids..?😞
Not everything made then was a classic it seems.
Gosh, is Hi-de-hi really that old? I thought it was mid 80s.
Do you have any more videos to upload?
Where is the diversity? I'm being sarcastic by the way.
