- Lets gooooo fishing opener is finally here. Start the year off at the same place I do every year the good old mille lacs lake. With the early spring and water temps already in the 50s I was not expecting to have a good shallow bite like most years. But we ended up finding some fish still up using the shallow rocks. Casting plastics is my favorite way to catch walleyes nothing better then feeling that thump of a walleye. Got to love a good mixed bag walleyes and small mouth as well. With that hope everyone had an awesome opener and got and ripped some lips. Stay tuned for more videos coming.

Was out there from 6-10pm on opener, they started snapping at 9 in about 15 fow.
If I was given just one wish I would wish that all the catch and release Fishermen would find their inner "come and catch me copper"!

You realize there’s a one fish, 2 inch spread slot limit on the lake, right?
Mille lacs is catch and release until September friend. Stop your bitching.
I believe that we should be able to keep some fish on Mille lacs, there's no reason the natives can net and we get nothing!! We pay for the resources they don't!
