Hi, I think pregnancy tests are improving in sensitivity but yes, it is possible in very early pregnancy to not have enough hormone to be detected. However, the concentration of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly so if they test again a week later and are pregnant there should be enough hormone to be detected then.
