- I am taking you to Cape May Café at Walt Disney World’s Beach Club Resort. Only steps away from Epcot, in the morning, this is a character breakfast with Minnie Mouse and her friends, but for dinner it is a seafood buffet. We will see the entire buffet, try out all the unique items, and ultimately find out if this is a restaurant worth putting on your Disney bucket list!

Interesting choices: lots of shrimp and clams and mussels, but no salmon, white fish, cod, tilapia, swordfish, calamari, lobster cakes- so iy seemed a little skimpy! A beef and chicken maybe, but very few salads, types of rolls. Our memories of the Cape May buffet back in the late '80's and' 90's would knock most visitors socks off these days! Ahhh...for the better old days of Disney! Always enjoy your reviews, so thank you for bringing me (sadly) up-to-date! peace

Back in the day the crab legs were included so it was a better value. Unfortunately it seems it has lost it’s allure.

That video was good soup 😉 thank you! I miss the days when the crab legs were included in the price of the buffet. DisneyforFoodies mentioned the upcharge for crab legs when the restaurant reopened and I was sad. I have been to Cape May several times in the past.
It definitely stinks. To me crab legs are the best part!

This was at one time our must go to restaurant each visit, "was" is the operative word here. When they started charging $29.00 per pound for the crab legs that use to be included in the price they lost us. I mean I could see maybe $10.00 upcharge per person but not the $29.00 per pound. We have not been back since. I am sure Disney is banking on new guest not being aware of how it was at one time so I am sure it will continue to be a popular pick for many..
It’s so unfortunate that the legs are such a high upcharge. To me, that’s the best part of seafood buffets!

Hi Demi I truly enjoy your honesty & opinions on taste ! Your facial expressions are so enjoyable to watch ! looks like if your looking for a inexpensive seafood dinner OK? Love watching you ! your so entertaining. Unfortunately I have a history of seafood allergies! But not allergic to lobster😳??? Or calamari?? Didn’t see any salmon, tuna, swordfish, or simple fish fillet dishes ! Sorry it’s not a pick for me ?

Hey Demi! I’m not the biggest fan of buffets, so this would most likely be a pass for me. If I’m going to go to Beach Club to dine, I’m definitely going to the place that’s pretty much right next to this one…it involves a kitchen sink.😉

TBH, I didn't even know this was a thing! I've had a decent experience with Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast but I'd give dinner a miss (No soup for me!). It's Beaches and Cream or bust 🏖

Wish I could of saw what the crab legs look like for the up charge. Portion size and was it snow crab or Alaskan king?
I’m sorry I couldn’t provide that, but I do pay for theses meals to review for the channel and I was the only person dining. They are snow crab legs

Thank you Demi for your honest opinion on Cape May. I had breakfast there in November and it was awful. Food was terrible, service was average, and only one character stopped by for a greeting. I won’t be returning.

@@MagicalHijinx I had a 10:30am reservation so I guess yes on the later side. If I had to do it all again, I would’ve booked Toppolinos for character breakfast. Much better food and stellar character interaction for around the same price as Cape May Cafe.

I found it to be “ok” but not great and was a bit disappointed because it’s not cheap but luckily not crazy high either. I found the non character breakfast much better!
I’ve never tried the breakfast here, so I am curious to see the difference!

You don’t get crab legs anymore on buffets due to price, Vegas has them starting at $79 buffets so Disney had to remove them

Shame on them for taking away the included crab legs! I will never forgive them. And their desserts are a joke.
