Klasse Video! Wäre es nicht einfacher die Kugel fliegend im Futter zu drechseln? So könnte man die Vorrichtung doch fast komplett um die Kugel herum drehen... Spricht etwas dagegen?

Theoretisch ist es möglich. Allerdings braucht man links noch etwas Platz für die Vorrichtung und auch generell um die Kugel vorzudrechseln. Am Ende hat man dann doch Recht viel Überhang was zu zusätzlichen Schwingungen führt. Wenn man die Zapfen anklebt ist es auf jeden Fall nicht möglich und zu unsicher.
In meinen Augen ist es am einfachsten und schnellsten, das Vorgehen im Video zu wählen 👍

Nice and clear demonstration Paul but I've a question : Why not finish the tenons with the sphere jig instead of the gouge bowl ? Just my novice 2 cents.

Hi, i think its because then you will need a special "chuck" to hold the ball. It's just easier/faster that way.

Hi, the base is zinc platted metal. The main arm in aluminium. The risers are aluminium. The head and top stem is stainless steel.

Paul pur non conoscendo la sua lingua sono rimasto affascinato dal suo sistema di lavoro, dalla mastodonticità di quel tornio e dalla perfetta tecnica del Jig per la realizzazione delle sfere.Sono affannosamente alla ricerca sul web di tecniche disegni ancoraggio al binario per la realizzazione di uno strumento del genere, sono a buon punto e presto andrò da un tornitore di metalli per la costruzione di questo strumento meraviglioso.
