Excellent advice in regards to hard wiring. Recently had an electrical fire with a lithium battery in a boat (not mine) 150km offshore due to a cigarette plug on an oven. Not a pleasant experience.

Great investment. Makes morning and afternoon tea so much easier (and tasty). 👍

The smaller travel buddy does have a timer aswell - it doesn't have the adjustable thermostat....

Nice one Paul, I'll stick to the coffee machine as my little luxury haha. I can see if I got one of these I'd just be smashing Pies all the time!!

You may want to change that fuse the oven draws 10 amps, that 30 amp fuse will never blow if there a problem

Great video! Thank You. If you have time - what goes into your brekky wraps? I'm buying one for a tasty brekky at the boat ramp on early morning fishing trips. :)

buy the road chef it’s better built, internal wiring is heat protected, comes standard with an insulated door and standard with an Anderson plug, still made with all parts from China as are travel buddies just not assembled in Victoria.

You do know that you can actually order the travel buddy with an Anderson plug instead of the ciggie plug. Don't you?

Nice review mate, how do you go with the smell in the car when cooking and driving? Does it stick around or get stuck in the upholstery?

Mate you in WA? Just got the travel buddy today myself. You recommend the volt step up device?

I can’t say I’m overly impressed with mine...yes it’s good for a pie or to reheat something... but for cooking, it leaves a lot to be desired...especially if I compare it to the 900w air fryer I just bought...the air fryer will cook finger food from frozen solid to crunchy & brown in 15 mins...
