I'm lost for words! This has to be the most accurate re-creation of the vibe of the original show by a fan! Added to that that some of the voice actors came back to play their characters as well, it really is amazing!
Thanks everybody for your positive comments, glad you enjoyed it. In answer to a few questions, Yes, Gerry certainly did see this back in 1988 and I received a letter from him saying how much he enjoyed it, how the humour was "spot on" and asking for his cut of the royalties ( he was joking )! I also got an invite to meet him, and when I arrived in the UK in 1989 I duly met up with him at Bray Studios, and was treated to a nice pub lunch. Amazing day, great to met him!
I have only just found this in 2024.. What a great piece of work.. Truly commendable recreation... I wish that my old 8 mm. bits and pieces had been half as good? (unfortunately, they were not)? I really enjoyed watching.. Thank you
So Parker is left in charge of looking after the Tracy Island while the rest of the International Rescue on holiday, I wonder how they're going to react of Parker damaging Thunderbird 2 while trying to rescue someone by himself.🤔😁😂🤣👍
That was fantastic and hilarious. And you got to meet Gerry Anderson too. So jealous. But surely I can't be the only one who wants to see 'Dougal does Dallas'.
This was just far too enjoyable. Thank you for making this, although I'm not too sure Ms. Mona Lisa will be happy once she finds out her secret has been revealed.
Loved it! How in the world did you acquire the Parker marionette? Side note: regarding vulgarity...people go to the circus to thrill at the trapeze artists, laugh at the clowns and be awestruck by the lion tamers...no one pays attention to the guy who cleans the animals' cages.
Unfortunately I have to tell you Gallianvincent1, "Dougal Does Dallas" was never actually released ( mainly due to the suspicion that Florence may have not been of age, and further complicated by serious contractual problems relating to the supply of sugar lumps. Also Zebedee pulled out at the last moment! Sorry for the bad news...it's all in the hands of lawyers, ( whereas it should have been in the hands of animators).
Robert, I was told it cost $8,000 back in the 80's but don't know if that was the actual cost or how much it would be if had it been commissioned & paid for. Jeff Smart is an FX professional and had the help of filmmaker friends so obviously the overheads incurred by that were avoided, but he would have had to pay material costs, equipment rental and studio rental (actually it was a portable classroom as I recall) .
Hi, I was wondering if you know what wire was used to hold up Thunderbird 2 in your video, as I am also trying to make one of my own Thunderbird films, or is this a greatly guarded secret like Tracy Island. And great video by the way!
Amazing movie ! How did you make reactors and explosions ? From a Gerry Anderson fan who made a pastiche of his work and will probably do another one this summer ;) (go on my channel if you want to watch it !)
Actually Gerry did see it! I was invited over to Bray studios in 1989 to meet Gerry as I had sent a copy to him some months earlier. He loved it and I have a very complimentary letter from him to that effect. On the day I had a guided tour around the studios, and he drove me over to a nearby pub for lunch, magic day. Some months later, I met Derek Meddings over at Shepperton Film Studios, and between "Batman" vfx takes ( of the batwing) he watched it through ! Always great to meet your heroes!
Thank you Ian Sharpe, I think we all know who the twat is !! Thanks also for the courteous language and deep insight into american culture , I'm sure 312 million Americans will be well pleased with your comments. I would advise no-one else gives this person the attention he strives for in regard to further comment, good bye for good Ian.
I was amazed this only had 695 views - then I saw it had only been up for 3 weeks! 230 x 52 = around 12 thousand a year. But I bet it'll do better than that, once it gets the attention it deserves. As a 60-year-old Thunderbirds fan... I fell ABOUT laughing! And I'm sitting here alone. I'll have to show it to the missis, or she'll think I've finally lost it. Well done, sir!
Saw this at Astor cinema Melbourne in 88 with Thunderbirds Are GO and Thunderbirds 6. Fans dressed in International Rescue uniforms. Great night out.

howwwwwww on earth did u make this so brilliant who did Parker's voice has David Graham seen this? LOL
I did the voice myself ( which is why occasionally you can hear an aussie twang to it ( luckily cockney is a bit like AUSSIE ACCENT)!
The voice on the phone of Bruno, is the actual voice artist, famous actor Charles Bud Tingwell, reprising his original role in Thunderbirds!
It sounded like Michael Caine but not a lot of people know that.
Ah well, at least Parker's the star, FAB!

Funny As!
If he were still with us, I'm sure HE would laugh too (mind you, it was done in '88, so he may well have seen it).
