@@BriGuy503 I couldn’t find any info or videos regarding coolant change. Owners manual just says take it to your dealer (big surprise). Couldn’t find a drain plug anywhere on the radiator but I did find a 8 mm bolt/plug(?) on coolant pipes on each side of the engine. Removed both and drained almost a gallon out so I got most of it but have no idea how to get the coolant that remained in the engine. Why no one has done a video on coolant change is odd.
You are wrong Sir. First service on my 2021 YXZ. It states in the manual to take a short drive or let idle 10 minutes before checking the oil level. I thought my oil level was low until I read the owners manual thoroughly.
I see you're using 15W-50. Does your 2019 manual say this is an acceptable oil weight? My 2020 manual doesn't show that as an option. Just curious bc the 15W-50 is very available but I don't want to use it if it isn't recommended. My 2020 manual suggests- 5w30, 10w30, 10w40, 15w40, 20w40 or 20w50. Thanks!
You mentioned there all about the same? On eBay found for around $80 and in the utv site you got yours it’s around $150. I myself had got the one you got then found the cheaper one. But my question are they really priced dif for a reason or are they really just the same. The cheaper ones only dif was a tad bit lighter and cheaper by almost half. Do u get what u pay for in this situation or save the $60
I took my YXZ for the first service to the dealership. I don't like doing that but it helps with my first service at a certified dealership for extended warranty. That being said, I checked all fluid levels when home. Based on your information, I was about to rip the dealership for low oil. Luckily before I did, I read the manual. Did what it stated and rechecked oil level and all was good. Just trying to help via information. I like that you made this video but trying to correct the oil level check. It should not be that difficult to get a proper oil level check. Yamaha is definitely different.
Reading the manual thoroughly and I think I was wrong. Apparently, two different methods for checking oil level. One is the oil change check and the other is just checking the oil level. I'm still completely confused about why the difference. Regardless, I apologize. Great informative video.
Thx for taking time to do a thorough videos. Just finished my 20 hr break in, ready for service
Awesome! Glad I could help, thanks for watching.
The 2024 model they changed it to 15 hours
Just finished changing my oil and start up sounded just like yours.
@Userf451 yea the weird sound is normal

@@Userf451 I haven't done one in the 5 years I've owned mine. Maybe I'll make a video once I decide to do it lol
Nice job!!! I’ve changed mine so many time I can do it in my sleep!
Thanks man! Yea it's super easy. Just hate the skid plate lol
BriGuy503 Yeah, I enjoy it actually. My garage is big so I take everything apart clean and inspect everything. With a beer or two... 🍻
My 2021 YXZ is awesome. Just hit 8k+ rpm. The dragon has been awakened!! I'm grinning like a jack-ass eating briars.
Skipping around for minutes in the hot sun trying to get something figured out to be click baited without delivery is rough.

This was recorded 5 years ago before your model was made.
Nice video!
Picked up a 2016 that only had 4 miles on it about a month ago, love it!
Just hit 200miles and was looking for a decent video, thanks!
Awesome! Welcome to the club!
@@BriGuy503 thank you. We started with a 2008 rzr 800, we still have it but needless to say we really don't drive it much anymore!
Much more fun in the yxz!
Thanks for these vids! About to pick up a 2017. Like to see awesome vids from a fellow 503 guy!
Thanks for watching! Welcome to the club
Who thumbs down this guy? Lol. He’s fuckin niiiice dude!! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Great Video! What torque wrench did you use? Mine starts at 10 ft lbs. and the oil plug says 7.4 lbs.
Thanks! I didn't actually use a torque wrench, I just tightened it snug. I've heard too many people stripping them out.
Hey man, can’t wait to tear it up with you in a couple weeks! 🤙
Yea man! Cant wait! I haven't gone riding in awhile now

That is what my local Yamaha dealer suggested I use. Oil weights can very based on region aswell.
Just watched this for the 3rd time just for the torque specs 😂😂🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks for watching !
I noticed you are using gear oil for "shaft machines" is this correct or should 80-90 wt gear oil be used?

is the 2019 the only yxz you owned and if not how does the upgrade fare in your opinion appreciate your input
Yea this is the only yxz I've owned so I dont really have a comparison, sorry
How often do you change your oil afterwards?
After my first oil change I did at 500 miles. Then ill probably do it about every 500 after that.
How much did your full fluid change cost???!!
I think I pay about $80-90 for all fluids, filter and crush washers
@@BriGuy503 copy that, bro! Thanks!
Please correct me if I'm wrong but I highly doubt.
Do whatever the manual says

Great video for the most part. I just freaked out thinking my oil was low.
