I didn't grind for my great one. I just hunted Layton every now and then and it surprise-spawned on me which literally made my week. I will definitely look into this video for my red deer after the reset.
I was doing a red deer grind and got about 200 kills in and one day my Xbox tried to update and a error popped and I had to reset my it and all of my games were still there but I went on COTW and cuatro was the only map that I had a lot of tents and stuff on and they all disappeared so this helped me figure out better tent placement. Thank you KC
Similar thing happened to me. Had to get a new console and every tent on every map went back into my inventory. Had to reset them all but tripods were just gone. Had to spend $200,000 to replace.
I killed 8300 whitetail bucks on Layton for a third grind. Never got him to spawn. Checked all 40 zones several times in case I overlooked him. Revontuli Coast grind is now happening.
I’m set up nicely on TAW. Doing the 5 and up method. 1500 or so in, 6 diamonds, 3 trolls, one lvl 6 piebald. Endless 7’s and 8’s. One thing I picked up from this vid, is I’ve been moving the clock forward. Wonder how much a difference it would have made if I had been moving it back. Changing that right away!
Its same bro, you only are making more “clicks”, like when moving from 10:00 to 6:00 in morning, you are always going day forward.m, and in your case you need to make 19-20 clicks to reach number 6, he is doing it backwards just becouse its faster to make it in 4 clicks. Same like you do probably when moving clock in real life, analogue one for instance, you dont move it 23h55mins forward if your clock is 5 minutes fast, you move it it 5 mins backward. You always make a day forward, it doesnt meter how you adjust your clock to need zone time. Except you move it forward several minutes or hours, but time is always going forward like in real life.
I would wait till the new map comes out being they will reset every animal pop in the game. It took me over 6000 kills for me red deer GO. 30 diamonds 11 lvl9 trolls 14 rares
Wait, i thought it was explicitly known that males respawn as males and that the level of the animal changed by one (higher or lower) on each respawn. That's not certain then? That changes a lot! great video, as usual, thanks for this!
It has never been confirmed whether or not it's possible for genders to interchange upon respawn. As far as the levels, that is certainly not the case, it's all quite random. Of my 3 GO's, 2 respawned from something small and 1 was a fresh spawn. Thanks for watching!
Hey I have recently just killed my first great one whitetail. I am wondering what I should do with my stacked zones. Should I shoot all my high levels now since the job is done?
Based on my practice, it is not very profitable and time-consuming to harvest all male deer possible. The maximum grind increase will be if you will hunt high-level deer: 7, 8, 9 levels. From my observations, the game instead of a harvested animal with a percentage probability of about 40-50% will respawn the animal one level lower, 40-50% at the same level, and only 15-20% that the animal will be a level higher. Hunting a deer of any level is worth it if the zone is "stagnant" - when high-level deer did not appear in these zones at all, and you just need to "refresh" the population...
I know this isnt really related to the GO grind but lately Im getting a lot of rare/superrare fur types for animals. For example in last 3 weeks I did get two albinos and a few piebalds. The upsetting part is that they are only females which is less satisfying but hey, rare is a rare. Im happy with having albinos and stuff but my question is, is it the games RNG that causes the rares and superrares respawn as females only? For example yesterday I did get a female whitettail albino.

Hi, I got a question, I place my tripods around 160m away from the closest zone, but the first shot I take from it all the other herds spook and I end up only shooting around 2 deer per lake?
respawn is completely random. there is a mod called animalpopulation tracker. i did some research and the respawns are completely random. i saw a lvl 8 respawn as lvl 3 and vise versa. you dont have to reset the time for respawns they start respawning after a while.
Yeah I don't go anywhere near those types of mods. You are correct, sort of. Harvested animals actually respawn almost immediately, but they respawn at spawning locations throughout the maps, quite often spawning a long ways away from their respective zones. It can take them hours to reach their home ranges. This is why we do the time resets. Thanks for watching.
Something thats reaffirmed my thoughts of just kill the biggest males this week is that i had a level 3 whitetail (obvious troll) strange as loads of level 2s make it. I killed it, then respawn was again a level 3 troll. We all know how rare a level 3 whitetail is, that ones respawn was then a max weight 85-100 eventually they do either go down or make diamond, just hit the biggest 2 per herd if possible imo. Leave the level 1s and females
Ok, just set one up for fallow diamond in Te Awaroa. Barely was able to finish the run in the zone time, but I assume that will improve. What nobody ever mentions is how they do their harvests after, if they do. I am leaving everything til I'm done, and then going back to get them. So it winds up being twice as long because you have to do everything twice. Do I have it right?
No, pick them up as you go. As I mention in these videos you want to have recovery tents set up at the zones you are grinding.. So after you shoot the animals at a zone, you just fast travel to the tent and pick them up. Streamline your grind so that you have enough tents to do this. On my fallow grind I was resetting the time to 12:10 and my run was done at 12:45. You don't want to be using every single zone. Shoot the animals in the area from your tripod and then travel to the tent that you placed at the zone and pick them, then go to the next lake/zone. You are overthinking it but I don't blame you.. Like I said, there are people out there over-complicating things lol. Just watch one of the vods from one of my Fallow grinding streams and you'll see what I mean. Your setup will never be perfect at the start of your grind, you should be fine tuning things as you go. Good luck.

That little boomerang lake at the bottom had 3 nice herds and a solo on it after I set up, but next run, zero. I have to wonder if it's my tents, but they are 250 from opposite sides. I'm gonna get rid of a bunch I set up on cliffsides, too much work to get to them. Maybe I'll focus on the lakes and the dry river.
@@KCPlanetGaming Well, damn. I went to one of the spots I had seen a 5 at and got me a diamond! I'm trying it again and I find that the diamond didn't respawn where I shot him, I thought he would. I moved some tents and now I find that there are no deer where the tents were. None of this makes any sense. If I go back after hours, it'll show footprints.

It's not about zones it's about kills. Kill at least 10 per run and you're good.. You can do that with 2 or 3 zones if you want to. Some people like more zones and some people like to use less. As it says on the thumbnail, it's "easier than you think". Don't over-complicate things :)
All I’m gonna say is I killed 3210 whitetail Bucks on Rancho and I didn’t even get a diamond. One piebald buck, and there wasn’t even a buck that scored diamond.
After watching LadyLegend tell how to do it, I'm more confused than before. What I don't get is if you kill a male and he has a chance to come back bigger, how does killing males in crappy spots help? They're gonna come back big and take away from big ones at better spots. So why kill everything everywhere? Why not leave all the males in crappy spots so they can never chance a good animal? Then your good spots get all the work.
Haha yeah.. There is no shortage of over-complicating things out there, but it's not nearly as confusing as it has been made out to be. That's exactly what you should be doing, you only have to use the zones you like best. As long as your killing at least like 12 males per run, you will get your respawns. In my Fallow grind I used 4 zones, got my respawns just about every run, consistently. Set up and grind the zones you want to grind and the males you shoot will respawn into new males. Rinse and repeat. Simple as that.
@@KCPlanetGaming I was doing 4 on the double lake, but only silvers and an occasional gold would show up. So I'm trying this. So I guess what I do now is shoot zones to find out where the bigger ones are, the start pulling tripods and tents from the ones they are not? I have seen a few 5s in the new spots now that I'm doing this, so I was definitely missing out.

So much false imformations about respawn . As Exempel the Gender is fix . Famale will respawn as female . And the Game respawns the deer direkt After it is dead . Just in an Other group . Its RNG also the Level and Rating .
False information? As stated in the video, it has never been confirmed as to whether genders can interchange upon respawn - many players in the community believe that they can interchange. My take on this is not based on opinion. I am well aware that animals respawn immediately after harvest; there is nothing in this video that says otherwise. It is RNG indeed and I believe that it is quite random, as I've learned from my own experiences. What "false information" are you referring to?..

theres been a lot of testing, people who don't pick up kills do not get great ones to spawn lately.
