As a new Muslim this video touched me. It is very lonely when you have no one to teach you how to pray and learn Quran and all knowledge pertaining to Islam. I feel shy to ask for help again because it seems all the people I have reached out to to help me were all smiles and willing but their personal lives (ie: family, jobs) became too busy to teach someome from the very beginning and I understand because I too have a full time job as well as being a full time mom. The Masjid near my home does offer classes for new muslims but it is held on one of the days that I work. What do I do now? If the community would open up their arms to reverts and open some of their closed circles I would not feel so alone. I will never give up on my deen because I will ALWAYS have ALLAH SWT even when the people come and go. I will continue to strive to learn. But I want to reach out to Muslim communities worlwide to understand the thoughts of a new revert to Islam. Please allow our Ummah to gain strength by helping and teaching us new Muslims the right path of a practicing Muslim. I cry wanting to teach my daughter the correct path and when she asks me questions about Islam that I cannot answer and when she asks me if this is the right way to pray and I cannot answer. My social group of friends does not exist because it does not fit in with my new life as a Muslim so even having support of a good muslim friend to visit with and learn with is not available to me. In'sha Allah things will change for the better.
AssalamuAlaikum sister! I have an exact opposite situation , I always feel glad to help my new revert brothers and sisters but I really don't have any idea how to and where? There should be a platform for us the reverts and the one who want to help and also I want muslim families to engage and socialize wid there new brothers and sisters!I have a big family and want to have family terms wid reverts rather than born Muslims, because they need us ! I specially love my revert brothers and sisters becuase unlike us they found Islam !
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmahtullah and welcome to Islam Ukhti...never feel shy to ask for help...we love to help new reverts..feel free to inbox me anytime...SubhanAllah
Assalaam sister, may Allah continue to guide you, from my side I could suggest you some online learning sources such as seekersguidance.org/ or qibla.com These resources should help you learn at your own pace and convenience.
Ameera.. God bless for your open message and request. Insha'Allah we're all here for you to address any question you may have. And don't worry when you're unable (at the moment) to answer your daughter.. just ask around / research, and get back to her with the closest answer. Yet, once again, please feel free to ask me anything.. anytime..
But rebuilding of the Kaaba wasn't something especially needed. Had an order come from Allah swt like the obligations of salah, fast, zakat then that would override any sensitivities to the people. As when Abu Bakr fought those who refused to pay the zakat. There was no special treatment when it came to anyone wanted to violate the rights of Allah swt.
