    I’m so glad that ppl scrap metal because it’s such a waste to go into the landfill. I’m glad that companies buy used metals because there is so much waste in the developed countries. Win-win for everyone.

It may be that your outdoors life has an extra benefit to it! I work in aged care and so we’re always testing. I rocked up to work yesterday, did my test at the door, and then rocked back up at home half an hour later. 🫣🤗 Keep being you, coz we love you and what you do. You’ve got something special in you, my friend, and it shines for us. ☀️☀️

    As many scrappers that's out there, like yourself. People should stop and get yalls numbers, to keep so much from going in the landfills. Even donating the toys and household items. There's children everywhere that would love to have a bike and toys. In the US, resell stores will even come pick it up, yet people just don't understand that all the stuff they put beside the rds are filling up so much of our land with rubbish. I appreciate what you do and I enjoy watching you. You have a fan in Alabama US....

    A quick suggestion on the Bicycles with how much they get in the way in the trailer. When I scrap I rachet strap bikes to the frame between the truck and trailer and just strap them in. It does mean a lot of unstrapping and restrapping when you get another bike but the weight does add up and it keeps your trailer free for more stuff. Unloading is pretty easy just push them off the frame and your done. This was a great non shred day especially all that copper.

    • @PolyProphet
      @PolyProphet  2 роки тому +4

      Interesting suggestion Adam. I like the sound of bikes out of the trailer but not hanging on the sides of the cage. I do like the option of strapping a late front load washer in that area but the bikes there might be worth trying. Thanks mate 🤙🤙

    the scrap graveyard how does the weigh in work at the scrap yard also i noticed some items you put aside and put back in the trailer were they not part of the weigh in and is the stuff you put in the back of your truck what you keep recycle find the whole thing interesting my friends father back in the fiftys collected and owned a scrapyard i spent mant a happy hour in that scrapyard he and his son still owned that yard well in to the 90 s they were a family of elven one boy and eight girls me and my friend went often with her dad loved rumaging in all the scrap

    • @PolyProphet

    • @PolyProphet
      @PolyProphet  2 роки тому +2

      I’ve been thinking about this and have realised I should try to maximise my time on the street, viewing the most piles possible. With the price drop, I’ll be skipping that kind of low value activity, I’ll even try to clip the cords at the end instead of every time. Hopefully the time saved means more piles/more value per scrap run. We’ll see how that goes. Thanks Ellen 🙂

    Just wondering why not take the top motor part of the shop vac at least for shred weight. My yard is very happy with them. Maybe Poly s yard is fussyer but that's being very fussy.

      Hi Paul. They are a small yard so I think that’s why they are fussy with what’s brought in. I assume because they don’t have the volume when time to sell so it’s got to be high quality.

    Always stoked to see a new video come out, especially almost 2hrs worth😁. Just wondering what those curved magnets you have on your trailer come out of, assuming of course they're from scrapping??

      Yes we also have that swap n go service here. I think swapping costs about $30 and buying an initial bottle is around $40 I think. I’ve heard of people selling bottles but I haven’t sold any. If it had gas though I would’ve kept it for myself. Thanks Jamie 👍👍
