  • This is the introductory video of my newest build which is a 1981 Datsun 180B (200B / 810) where I show it in its current state.
This is a project car that was recently stripped to metal and painted white. The engine has been overhauled and I encounter a couple of tuning problems with the twin carb which causes the car the completely die out.
This is my first video documenting a build from start to finish and I think it's completely unfortunate how I missed the opportunity to shoot the past 4-6 cars, so here's to new beginnings.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for bringing hot rod Datsun (NLX 391) back to life!!!!
I had this car since 1987. My dad bought it from a friend. It had been my constant companion for 30 long years. I cannot describe the JOY I felt when I watched your video and see how you patiently make him work again. You should have seen how I reacted upon seeing the interior and the engine all intact. You were right when you said that most of the parts are all original. Remember saying about a switch button that you are not familiar with and not sure of its function? I believe that is for the heater. Anyways, going back to Datsun, yeah, not everyone understands him. But once you understand him, become one with him, he will not fail you.
Again, thank you so much for the hardwork and investment you put in to make him hit the road again.

Thank you so much, sir Joy ❤️Unfortunately, it's been quite a long time since I let go of her. I was able to restore it very nicely, even riding up to the mountains of Tagaytay and really pushing it to its limits. It can be a daily driver. After all, that's what it's meant to be. Thank you so much. This means a lot to me. ❤️

@@RephBangsil Yeah, I noticed it has been a couple of years now since you posted your video. Thanks anyways for restoring Datsun. It means a lot to me. Oh, and Tagaytay! Datsun loves highlands! Thanks for bringing back fond memories. As a lady driver, Datsun was not difficult to handle. On the contrary, zigzaging through Slex and Edsa in that red hot muscle car in the 80's and 90's was a breeze. Datsun may not be able to do the same thing now but hopefully the new owner enjoys its company as we do.
Enjoy your new adventures with future restoration projects! Looking forward to more videos from you! 😊
