PCT SECTION HIKE: Snoqualmie Pass to White Pass (SOBO) Washington PCT SECTION I (JULY 2023)

  • Join me on a wonderful backpacking adventure as I hike southbound from Snoqualmie Pass on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in Washington. I'll conclude my journey in Cascade Locks, Oregon, covering a total distance of 246 miles.
    In this video, I begin my journey at Snoqualmie Pass, hiking 90+ miles in 6 days to White Pass, completing Section I.

    Great video, cool to see this section! I’ve done sections north and south of here but may do south of Snoqualmie and north of White this summer.

    You covered quite a few miles. I’ve hiked a few hikes in the chinook pass area and it’s stunning up there. I’m hoping to do White pass to Chinook later this year.

    Did you have to cross the creek by walking over the log? Beautiful scenery. Thanks.

      Bumping River was my only log crossing on this section. The log I chose was upstream, and was pretty wide and not slippery. The water wasn’t running too high or fast (I’ve heard it can be). I think I could have forded across, but preferred to keep my feet dry.

    great vid. I was behind you SOB by a week. Did you by chance get to witness a night of the elk calling. It was spectacular. Even had one sniff my tent while I laid awake listening to there foot steps. Keep on hiking.
