The Collector doesnt approve what his parents do and gets uncomfortable but he just lacks emphaty. Which I think is cute actually! I really feel like Camilla will play a big role at "taming" the Collector.

In the episode where Belos betrays the Collector, you can here the Collector say "You pinky promised" and "You liar". I feel bad for the Collector he's just a kid who doesn't know any better.

This feels about right. There is no way Belos thought he was gonna 100% fool this child twice. But it did work. Twice. Clever villain? Or stupid child?

Bad writing.
Belos's original master plan, from the very beginning, hinged on his ability to lie continuously to everyone he met for multiple centuries without any of them finding out the truth, and he came within an inch of pulling it off. He's the best liar in the multiverse, and it doesn't surprise me at all that he thought he could fool a gullible child a second time -- or that he succeeded.
When ever Belos Raine would talk to himself just like "Egh did that just come out of my eye?!" And "And now to sneak in a child's bedroom.. oh my god I just heard myself." And "Good job Belos you have not manipulated this child not once, but twice! I've really got to stop doing that." It's super easily to laugh at!

I find the dialogue in the actual scene pretty fun, because he is deliberately vague about everything and lets the Collectors fears fill in the blanks he doesnt know about. it was a very big gamble though haha

The Belos inner monologue is the funniest thing in the world. He's like Pheonix Wright, making up everything as he goes. It's actually rather endearing.

I'm so glad you said this at 1:52 because it's really my biggest gripe with this episode. Even taking an educated guess that King would want the collector trapped again, he was so lucky that King was literally planning at that moment.
Honestly, he was also lucky that King worded his point poorly about a "permanent solution". And that the Collector didn't eavesdrop until the end of that conversation, just to make sure.
